A lot seem to want us to play like Spurs but their gung-ho approach has them 2nd bottom in the form table sitting only above Burnley, who incidentally are the only team Spurs have looked relatively comfortable against. Yes they beat Liverpool but Liverpool were down to 9 men and it still took a long injury time own goal to nic that game. They have conceded 8 goals in the last 3 games and only scored 3 it’s not even like the gung-ho approach is leading to goals. They have Man C next so u’d assume it will be 4 losses on the bounce, I can only imagine the slating our team / manager would be getting if we were in that predicament & pound to a pinch there would be calls for not over committing with every attack I’m sure. My take away of this is that it would seem “football is a results business” only when your losing and on the slide, as that was mentioned a lot last season.

Go and support Leeds if you don’t like it

Watford were unbeaten in 6 and on high morale after a thumping win last time out, we had lost the last 2 and the papers were starting to build a narrative..we had to win, it wasn’t a game we could gamble with. It’s obvious we haven’t got a Rooney on our hands, he’s 20 and I’ve only heard of him back end of last season & only took notice because we signed him. I hope he’s afforded time to settle & build once he does get a chance, most likely a cameo on Wednesday, before the hounding starts which we know will happen if he don’t get a brace or more v Sheff W.

Well colour me pink, why do any of us take note of any pledges regardless of party. Every party is trying to look into a crystal ball or maybe they all just write pledges on small bits of paper then pick them out 1 at a time from the crystal bowl, either way they are all meaningless at the time of announcement. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-67528894

Ed Slater Cup day, come on 🐯 and all the best Ed.

I very much doubt he’ll be involved, he’s only bit part with the seniors during training currently, but Enzo thinks a lot of him so the future could look good but I wouldn’t expect him to be involved anytime soon.

Yep, thought she was ok in the beginning as I didn’t know who the hell she was and taking her at face value she seemed nice enough but her issue with Fred was totally blown out of all proportion and thought that’s her done, amongst other things done and said, but her social media following will keep her in I guess.

In the past 2yrs the credit pot has sometimes sat at £1800 (no lie) but I left it as no one really knew what was happening but when the bills come around it’s like trying to watch a magicians slight of hand trick on how they gobble that £1800 up and still tell you your £300 in debt so need to top up the already inflated DD 🤷♂️
-
Weirdly after 2 months of BG telling me to decrease my DD only by £20 at a time mind they have now suggested I up it by £100 as they say I will be in debit by the end of contract, what gets me is that after all the over payments my account sits at £1300 in credit, I was going to ring to take at least half of that but now not so sure. But what really confuses me is that I must be clear on payments (ie paid for what I have used thus far) they now want me to up my DD from £277 to £379 & I have this pot of £1300 sat there so if an energy bill runs June to June they are predicting In the coming 6mths I will use £3,574 worth of energy which is total BS. Prior to all this I was paying £1400-1800 per year, they have me pushing £5k for the past 2yrs now I really don’t understand how they do it and neither do their call centres as the last time I rang when they had me on a more ridiculous DD they just replied ok how much do want to / can you pay which got my back up straight away….I just want to pay for what I use 😖 I’m currently on their standard variable, pay by DD with quarterly bill, 4 bed detached, thermostat doesn’t go over 18 in the 4 colder “winter” months due to wood burner & is off for the rest of the year so only showers really hitting the gas. I’m the only 1 wfh in the house during the day so even then the thermostat will go down in those 4mths so not like it’s 18 constant. I expected to pay double due to rises which would top me out at £3600 worst case but £5k I just don’t see how and their billing systems are so confusing they have you believe them. I can’t be alone on this, anyone have any numbers for a team in BGas that can actually answer questions….or am I being naive and £5k is what it is now?

Couldn’t dock points for something that happened so long ago, a fine at best

SKY’s predicted England squad doesn’t make for good reading & in truth they probably won’t be far off. For me there are only 3 starters from that squad, those being Bellingham, Rice and Kane, It then goes on how Southgate chooses his formation. Starting with keepers he will choose Pickford despite not letting anyone else stake a claim and it’s mentioned down to his ball playing abilities, but, England don’t play with this reliance on playing out from the back, who is he doing triangles with that then builds the play and who of these is equally adapt in playing this way in tight spaces. Which brings us to the defenders. He looks like he is sticking with his 4 but (this prediction suggests) leaves the best 2 options out; James and Chilwell which if they are not fit and firing ok. But then it shoves Trent AA & Lewis (RB by trade) into midfield I know they both play there for clubs sometimes but will they get in ahead of Rice/Jude? They have pigeon holed them as 2 of 6 midfielders to get more defenders in of which they already have 7, looking at the other 4 who gets the 3rd spot with Rice/Bellingham out of the rest it would have to be 1 of those 2 which says a lot when your putting RBs in midfield in his 433 system. So forwards there are 7 for 3 slots (well 6 for 2 as Kane takes 1 regardless) & looking at them it’s Saka & Foden, where does Maddison fit in would you have him as the 3rd midfielder dropping someone allowing for Palmer to be added. Toney if he gets back as was is the best replacement for Kane I guess. This again is defensively heavy with 9 defenders listed and every tournament we say it’s about scoring goals, we always seem to start with the don’t concede mentality and nick a goal instead of we will score first and take every game to the opposition. Creativity wise in Southgate’s formations is stifled, if he continues with 433 then TAA could be the inverted RB (which he is/has done with Liverpool so not new) allowing Maddison to be in the centre with Bellingham & Rice the anchor with TAA. You could then have the option of creative players in Jude/Madders feeding creative wide players Foden/Palmer/Saka instead of Bellingham having to do it all. We need ball players to overcome the shit show performances like the last 2 games where teams were dug in. Which leads nicely onto Bellingham, why oh why do we always have to pick out and put the weight of everything on 1 players shoulder, Gazza in the 90s Beckham in the late 90s early 00s then Rooney after that, if we put a squad that complements each other together then the sum of the whole is stronger etc etc no? https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12016/13013489/englands-euro-2024-squad-predicted-ivan-toney-and-rico-lewis-in-reece-james-and-kalvin-phillips-to-miss-out

What that kid is doing is not what is going to make him successful, coaches are not bowled over like fans are with this type of stuff at this age
-
Would be handy to have him for the Xmas period for sure & with his stepping up would this mean that Braybrooke would be looking at a few under’s games during December now also, he was about 1month behind wasn’t he? Anyone seen him recently and know how he’s doing, the last update from the club was the joint interview with Alves.

Commentator nails it…. Nigeria looking for the equaliser & they do, Iheanacho SUPER SUB puts them back on level terms…

@The Year Of The Fox @grobyfox1990 People stand for 5-15mins before the doors open! If you and I were in in the same or very close aisle to each other you standing and me not I would be under 2minutes behind you because people would let me out. I would suggest that you have got to passport control or the train due to your actions outside of the plane, ie sprinting/speed marching and not because you stood up 15minutes prior to the plane doors opening. Also and this is where it mainly comes in, you obviously didn’t have any hold baggage because having hold baggage is the great leveller regardless of how many people you trample over on exit.

We don't need a common sense minster you say https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-67417119

the quoted fee is in € so €17m is give or take £15m

The jostling for position on a plane is much worse, as soon as you've landed you start to hear the clicks of the seat belts opening & it's like a frogs chorus when the captain brings the plane to a stop & switches the seatbelt sign off as people clamber up to get bags only to be left standing for 15minutes with their arse in someones face whilst the ground crew try & sort the steps out. The irony of it all is that being British they then let those people that didn't stand up out as they move down the plane. For the sake of 1 maybe 2 minutes longer on the plane, just stay seated.

No Common Sense Ministers in Italy https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/11/14/italy-obese-murderer-released-jail-cant-give-special-diet/ An obese man who was jailed for 30 years for murdering his girlfriend has been released because his Italian prison could not cater to his low-calorie diet requirement. Dimitri Fricano stabbed his 27-year-old girlfriend, Erika Preti, 57 times after she accused him of spilling crumbs on their bed

He just makes the difference, really looking forward to seeing our best 15 play with him orchestrating….however Rumour mill is churning that Weise is off to Stadt Francais which is typical, build a great team but then lose influential players before it really gets into the swing.
-
Gotcha, still a tad harsh on them mind. Those Internationals haven’t trained under the new coaching staff as yet, we were still missing some influential starters Montoya, Reffell, JVP, Martin along with Watson, Heyes, Cracknell, Porter & Haskell-Collins for a bit of speed…a best 15 has at least 4 of those names in with the others on the bench. (As an aside for me we still need to recruit some top class props) On the whole it was a much improved display, we had the scrum and line outs sorted from last weeks 5hit show and remember Quins are the Harlem Globetrotters of playing ball in hand and we did stop that to a degree even Nick Evans mentioned they had to adapt their style to stay in the game. As good as they were and us bad for their tries we could have won that, there were too many handling errors in their 22 along with the turnovers, on several occasions we could have gone over. Also at least twice Pollard kicked for the corners as our line out and drives were working but both times we made errors and gave up the ball, had he kicked for posts we win 🤷♂️, it was small margins & remember they are top of the tree, next week will tell us where we are. It will always look more worrying this season as only 10 teams so even 7th makes it look like that team is struggling with 6 tough teams above that. This season with a new coaching team, the amount of players away for world cup and then 6N the aim will be top 6 then see how it goes, Quins, Sale, Sarries & Bath are the teams to beat and you still have Exeter and Bristol to throw in the mix.

Broken his 1st league record with that brace most goals scored after 11 games, his 17 beats Lewandoski’s 16 & on track to beat his seasons tally also.

If the plan is to use throughout the winter & not just the odd cosy night in you have to get a barrow / bulk style bag from a specialist as burners can be very hungry at times. Initial outlay will seem high at £90-115 per bag but will be cheaper in the long run, rather than buying those boxes at £10 a pop for 1 day/night or 2 nights at a push. If storage is a problem the barrow bags usually come with a 'flapped lid' which covers most of the top but some other form of waterproof over the top will keep them dry & stacked. I use 1 of those rectangular keter garden furniture storage boxes to keep the logs in as they stack well & obviously waterproof.

Spurs working to sign Ndidi in the winter window, with Barcelona, Ateltico M, Lyon, Monaco, Newcastle, Aston Villa & Brentford all keeping a close eye on his contractual situation.
