  1. If Bailey’s foot is planted it’s a red all day long and probably breaks his leg but as his foot is up lucky for him it swings back with the tackle it then becomes subjective to an individual so probably why ref initially gave a yellow and is then swayed by VAR
  2. Not going to lie the standard of football makes it a difficult watch, it’s certainly 2 leagues in 1 and will be for years to come.
  3. What was Leitzig doing there??
  4. Keeper protection again, anywhere else it’s a foul 🤷‍♂️
  5. Totally missing my point, I know the stats, I know we have the least goals conceded etc etc I am referring to comfortably seeing a game out & the fact we look nervous even when ahead especially when we don’t have a 2 goal gap. Yes we look in control because we have possession but when it gets frantic we lose our shit. It's in these times I get uncomfortable the scores have been 1:0, 2:0, 1:1, 2:1 in our favour (except drawing of course) now if the opposition score next in any of those situations they then are the team on the front foot as a goal usually gets a teams tail up. So in 2 of those scenarios (last 2) if they were to get that quick successive goal we would need 3 goals to win, in the 2nd scenario making it 2:1 they are now the team pushing for a draw to make it safe we would need to score a 3rd to knock the wind out of them, then in the the 1st scenario it becomes like the 3rd their tail is up and pushing for a 2nd, get it & we need 3 from a leading 1:0 position. I know all that sounds like I’m having a stroke and it’s all hypothetical as it’s not happened but I’m not saying it has happened I’m saying we have not been comfortable in most games & trying to use those real situations we’ve been in to show it. I think maybe the Southampton game has been the only & easiest game which we won early in the game due to how they approached us, for every other game it’s been a battle to win and we have relied on late goals to secure the points, most teams have always been only 1 goal from us to take points off us…ergo I feel we need to score 3 goals most games to basically knock the stuffing out of them and to feel comfortable, that is what I am saying, that ‘feeling’ of comfort during a game not post game when we have won. ps…..& I have put it in this thread because he is meant to be the guiding defender in the back line and he is the most frantic when it comes to the ‘dig in’ backs to the wall part of a game.
  6. but has so far won U18 youth league, U21 premier Lge & league cup winner with Man C, football league trophy winner with Bolton and European U21 champion with England. i think at 21yr old it’s a little early to say he is proper shite.
  7. Not really, I know it’s not halfway through the season but Man City are 4th with the 3 above all having a game on them & 1pt ahead of 5th, Man U 7th & if Everton didn’t get docked 10pts they would be 1 off them…Everton, Chelsea 10th having been 12th this morning but could drop again tomorrow. Man C have drawn and lost more already than previous whole seasons, such as today drawing at home to palace of all clubs
  8. It’s a very ordinary league this season which should hopefully put a stop to the crap spouted after our season but you know it won’t
  9. Totally 😂 don’t get me wrong I’m still watching it but knowing what it’s based on (which I thought were really good) this is over the top in its investigational approach, he walks through a door and within a second he’s deciphered what’s occurred & the way he tells us has the misses looking at me as to say wtf we watching. The films didn’t teach us to suck eggs and Reacher / Tom was very ordinary in appearance but had a particular set of skills to quote Liam but the series is very comic esq everything is heightened to almost super hero status. Saying all that it is very much a guilty pleasure 😂
  10. How much extra time Leeds getting?
  11. Leeds have Southampton to think about now
  12. We’ve won yes but out of the 21 games thus far how many have you felt really comfortable in & said yes this is done despite a good portion of the game remaining, even then Sheff W, Millwall & WBA proved we have a soft side with extra time goals. I’m not sure there hasn’t been a game where I thought the opposition wouldn’t score, don’t let a few decent saves and some poor finishing gloss over that we can be got at.
  13. Would seem his overall game showing is elevating his FT FIFA scoring, he is better offensively than he is defensively, he has not suddenly turned into a ‘great’ defender now that Rodgers has gone. He is doing the offensive part of the role well, looking after the ball, playing those passing through the lines or diagonal cross field pings but watching his defending alone nothing really stands out that shouldn’t be bread and butter for an average defender. He lacks real composure when up against it, you can really see it in those Millwall, Sheff Wed, Leeds, Sunderland type games where there was a bit of mayhem in our box as teams push for a winner and the keystone cop comes into his game where he’s frantic and just slashes at the ball mindlessly, example West Brom just swings at the ball in 89th minute it flies out for a throw-in near our box which resulted in their goal, composure puts that ball over the halfway line and out for a throw which eats up time in a safe area. That’s just 1 example but every single game this season I've said we need to score 3 goals just to look safe (even at 2 nil up) he is meant to be the organiser in that defence and panic breeds from him and a fast attack and a bit of pin ball in our box has me thinking goal. I want to feel safe much like the title winning side, every time there was an attack I felt safe in the knowledge that Wes & gang will sort it out, we are the top team in a lower division and we look like conceding against every attack. If this thread was in the transfer section & I didn’t know him I’d think we were getting VVD without pace such is the hype. yes credit where credit is due & I’ll praise him for his offensive contributions but he is not a great defender and we certainly shouldn’t be thinking he’s someone we should have in the premier Lge.
  14. In the last 3 seasons Villa have signed at least 7 players that have individually cost more than the combined cost of our Leicester City title Champions, I think we can safely say that there will never ever be a club “ Doing a Leicester” again. As for many of the pundit comments of are they a better team, man for man throughout I wouldn’t say so… but coached probably yes. I just wish pundits would explain (or be challenged) on what they mean and why they say x,y,z instead of these throw away comments simply tagged against the fact a club doesn’t come from the traditional top 6!
  15. It’s a bit cringe 😬

Well it's a good job that financial support still coming from US & the UK https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-67724357
  17. Well now confirmed that Weise will be off at the end of the season, will be a big loss.
  18. Funny how 'big club' fans were bitching about how Leicester were going to effect the Premier lges UEFA coefficiency when we were in the Champions lge / Europe, yet since, these clubs have performed pretty poorly & this years coefficient rating means more than usual due to the expansion of the champions league group stages next year. Currently Germany & Italy will get an addition Champions Lge slot & the Premier Lge will miss out on that 5th place team joining which will then have a knock-on to the hope that 8th place would get the EConf position.
  19. We couldn't attract anyone due to cost of transfer & wages, the chaff would have gone anyway due to contracts ending but trying to keep hold of Barnes & Castagne on premier lge wages?? Maddison yes we would have probably got 10-15m more for him which isn't a great deal in the big scheme. That squad was not capable of competing in the premier lge whilst trying to complete a full overhaul no chance, also would Top of got rid of Rodgers? Relegation hasn't put us back a decade, we were sleep walking into a catastrophe living & spending beyond are means after pushing ourselves to compete for top 4, it would have just delayed the inevitable or even worse. At least going down this year we could still financially outmuscle most of the championship clubs, if we marked time for another couple of seasons trying to mix it in the premier lge before succumbing to potential financial cripplement then that would have put us back a decade or worse. As for " I can never agree that it could be spun into some kind of a positive." do you not think dropping to Lge 1 was a positive, i've said this before but if we stayed up in the championship you can bet that the following 14yrs we had would not have happened. I feel this is a mini version of that, it was needed to take stock & get back on an even keel out of the firing line.
  20. Depending on which source you take the pot from we got for being relegated was between £106m-£134m regardless, had we finished 1 place higher & stayed up it would have brought an additional £3m but we were a basket case with regards to cashflow & FFP etc & that additional cash would have been as useful as giving it to the NHS ie gone in a day. Ok your right if we want to compare apples & apples then yes this season we won't get as much for winning the title than maybe the bottom club gets in the premier lge & I believe we don't get parachute payments if we go straight back up but what relegation has allowed us to do is pretty much balance ourselves easier than if we were then trying to fight another season in the premier league. I think 1 season in the championship (hopefully) will have a longer financial & structural benefit than trying to keep afloat in a league that was slowly bankrupting us after we pushed ourselves to challenge & reward.
  21. Why are we hanging onto the wish we offered Kasper a new contract? He was highest paid (unless Vardy pip'd him) He's now 37 Yes he might have been able to save us from relegation but the knock on for that would be:- He's 37 He would be taking a large portion of our premier lge wage bill we would probably still have Rodgers as manager we wouldn't have Mads We wouldn't be playing the way we are therefore players like Vestergaard would be redundant
  22. They have now restricted non subscribed readers to 20 articles per week so now need to go premium at a cost of £2.99 pmth or £19.99 yr for full access, i bet they don't get many takers. I have the app on my phone which didn't/doesn't bombard you with ads like the website does but it hasn't given any Leicester Tigers news for months, infact the last meaningful report on the Tigers was the announcement of Steve Borthwicks departure. I do read the LCFC articles for interviews, signings & such like but like everyone else i'll prbably start to move away from it now, alot of the stories are rehashed to fill out the pages anyway.
  23. But it doesn't work like that, lets say ok he kept us up by the skin of our teeth, then what? We were hemorrhaging money hand over fist & despite probably losing the players that were end of contract, something like 10 players, we wouldn't have had enough free cash for existing premier league wages let alone try & buy in premier league quality with premier league wages which is what he would have expected. Maddison would probably have still gone as his name grew & expectations of a 'bigger' club move, & yes we probably would have got 10m+ more for him but nothing to cover shiny new signings & would Barnes or Castagne moved had we stayed up? Castagne went to Fulham if we stay in the premier league are they a bigger club for him to go to & Barnes reluctantly went on all accounts but maybe he goes also, either way we are not supporting a premier league push from what we lost & received. Villa are the 6th highest net spenders in the premier league over the past 5yrs, regardless of what you may think of their players they have money to spend & Emery should be fighting for Top 6 (4) going on money spent should he not, after all some thought we should be pushing top 4 just because the manager was on a high wage! Sometimes you need to take 2 steps back to go forward, i look at us dropping into the Championship slightly in the same way as dropping into Lge 1 not as big but feel just as important in this time. Dropping to Lge 1 allowed us to reset from top to bottom, we got Pearson the perfect manager we needed with aiding in that full club rebuild, it also paved the way for a takeover, i think labouring in the championship living from week to week wouldn't have seen us produce the memories we have been part of in the last 14 or so years even if Pearson joined as the whole club was a basket case then. This time round it was more the playing & coaching staff that needed that rebuild not the full club reset although things still needed sorted out above. We have managed to have a good clear out of fringe players, reduce the wage bill whilst bringing in some players & change the coaching staff along with footballing philosophy. We have dropped out of view & allowed to have that mini reset that we needed without the pressures of the Premier lge & continuing to shoot money up the wall by trying keep up with the Joneses. Yes there's huge risk especially if we don't go up 1st time of asking but if we do i feel the club as a whole will be in a better position than if we hired Emery on his £7m wage with crumbling player foundations.
  24. If the thought is that Vestergaard is the better option for the team best we start him v Millwall and just before the game ends he pulls a player back to earn that 10th yellow, if he gets it after Wednesday he’s missing the Ipswich game
