Is it just me that thinks Ndidi needs to go back to being played in the old DCM way he was as I see him doing this patrolling role still well. Perhaps he needs the playmaker ahead of him that could be Skipp or even Winks.

We typically say we need a manager with prem experience, but out of the current prem managers, about 13 of them had no prem experience when taking on their current position. That includes all the top six. Maybe it isn’t the most important thing?

From my Forest fan mates I get the impression they know he isn’t really cut out for the prem but at the same time think he is good enough for us. The situation is always the same, they see themselves as a much bigger team and us a step down. Regardless of recent history, regardless of time spent in the prem, regardless of facts presented. They won the European cup nearly 50 years ago and that is enough to make claims of being one of the biggest clubs. I imagine, Preston, Huddersfield and The Old Etonians still consider themselves big clubs for success in the very distant past!

What is the longest manager out thread and how far are we off it?

I concur, and I am sure there are plenty of managers and coaches who would be capable of achieving better from this team. I don’t know who they are as I am not in the industry and don’t follow all the leagues, but I am sure they are out there and would jump at the chance of managing in the Prem as the opportunity may not come again.

We all know in honesty the win at Bournemouth was lucky as they should have converted their chances and the win at Southampton happened once they went down to ten men as did the draw at Ipswich. Do the Cooper in people think this luck will last, because don't get me mistaken, it is luck. I hope it continues but I am not optimistic.

Playing with some ambition. Playing to the strengths of the players he has. Adjusting when things are going badly. Having different ideas to utilise. Just some things off the top of my head.
