  1. I think it's mainly because we have a number of young players who haven't made a name for themselves yet. People want to comment, but they don't really have a clue about those players' ability, so they just assume the few famous names we have are responsible for our league position. These are the pitfalls of commenting on a club that's not the one you follow - you're not going to know half as much as the supporters of that club, so you'll always seem ignorant to them.
  2. I was sat in the Kop for that one, as well. Behind a pillar. Not that it mattered - couldn't see a pissing thing. You're right - it was 1-1. I can remember, coz the first 4 or 5 matches I went to all ended by that scoreline. Strange that bad weather has affected the same fixture two seasons in a row, and no others, if memory serves.
  3. Now I know what I want for my birthday/xmas. Brilliant!
  4. Hear, hear. I just had to have my windscreen repaired because of the fvcking loose chippings. They're doing the bypass round Ashby. Some cvnt overtook me and threw a stone up.
  5. Peace of mind, I'm sure. Especially if you have elderly relatives on board.
  6. Trust me, she is.
  7. Yes! I love looking at ugly tattoos. I'll post my favourites soon.
  8. Is that Kingy or Eminem?
  9. That's a good point. Why do they keep taking on really old people? Didn't they learn from the last one?
  10. Brilliant album! The cd I've got on in my car at the mo is that, with some Jesus Lizard. Fantasy World is killer. Bad Wind and the ice cream one are great as well. Love it!
  11. Sorry if this has already been posted. I can't be bothered to look through the whole thread again. Each page takes ages to load because of all the videos.
  12. Hold your socks on - the bassline is unreal... http://youtu.be/pERrVMbsCfg http://youtu.be/bo9riZYUpTw sorry about the ad...
  13. Those are some great Colemanballs. I once heard Andy Townsend say, when commentating on some tight-marking, "Look at this. He is literally up the other player's backside." Literally! He wasn't. Obviously. That would have been front page news.
  14. Is Piss-tool phallus a step too far?
  15. Bummingmen Shitty
  16. I haven't seen Veep yet, but I think you might well be right about it. I agree - Modern Family is very good. I think the bland title will put people off (sounds way too much like the god-awful My Family), and at a glance, it looks like another bog-standard American sitcom, but it's not. It is genuinely funny and, as you say, well-written.
  17. Was just going to mention The Thick of It. Fvcking brilliant! Watched the first episode of the new series on Saturday, and it was great, even though none of the Labour characters featured in it. They're back next week, so this should get even better. In case anyone is unaware, there is a film based on the series, titled In the Loop. There is also a new American version, also written by Armando Iannucci, called Veep, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus off Seinfeld.
  18. I'm probably the only one, but this gets on my nerves. People still saying the year as, "Two-thousand and x". Why say, "Two-thousand and thirteen", when you can just say "Twenty thirteen" instead? "Do you remember when England won the world cup?" "Who could forget? It was one thousand, nine hundred and sixty-six." "Tonight we're going to party like it's one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine."
  19. I agree. I bought an mp3 player last week, and I was looking at reviews online to decide which one to go for. I found one that had nearly all good reviews. One of the bad reviews for it was from someone who was annoyed that they bought it and weren't told that they needed a computer to stick music/podcasts on it! What did they think? Am I being thick? "Don't buy this toaster! No one told me you had to have bread to get any toast out of it."
  20. I'm not giving up hope for this one yet...
  21. Haha! We used to go to a pub called the James St. Tavern that we called the Jim/gym.
  22. Alcatraz not been mentioned yet? Grubby heavy metal club next to Fan Club. Changed its name to Oxygen. It had a half pipe! Great idea to mix drink and drugs with skateboards.
  23. Vic & Bob's Lucky Sexy Winners on Channel 4. Pretty much a new Shooting Stars.
  24. I can't wait for a reason to praise him. Like the author of that song, I'm getting pretty impatient now.
