Some of the most electric, out of your seat moments last season were both Fatawu and Mavididi running at their opposition fullbacks, skinning them on both the inside and outside and terrifying them all game. Mavididi seems to have lost this completely from his game and thinks that doing 4-5 ‘shimmies’ or step overs and completely slowing the game down will have the same impact. It’s so frustrating and I don’t know whether it’s confidence or lack of quality but RVN needs to insist that he takes on the FB on the outside or pull him out the team for everybody’s sake

Looks like a real gem, he's young so will make the odd mistake but seems to have the mentality, desire and skillset to really excel in this side

with Wilf, Bouba and Winks in the midfield I just wish we hadn't gone out and spunked £25m on Skipp - who I'm unclear as to what his strengths are. That money could have been spent on a more creative, box-to-box ball carrier which I think we desperately lack
