  1. Game day....yay It's not a question of are we going to get something, it's more of a question of how heavy the defeat will be. Only hope is that after half time, they just don't bother and save energy.
  2. Merry Christmas one and all. My kids thought 5am was acceptable.
  3. We may not be relegated yet, but I think we are mentally. Relegated by April looking at our fixtures officially
  4. I genuinely thought he wouldn't select Ward or make the same selection mistakes that Pooper made. Alas I was wrong.
  5. If he does, he'll lose a lot of credibility
  6. This is where he shows if he is good at man management, Pearson's biggest asset. For the sake of Justin, ward (who should never play again), Coady and Skipp he needs to take them out of the firing line. We know we're going to get slaughtered, so take players who are fresh and hungry for it. If we lose, at least they'll give it all. Jakub in goal, nothing to lose l, no pressure on him. If he makes one save, he is instantly better than ward. Give Vards a break, he doesn't need the hassle. I'd take 4-0 loss, but having a go at them with enthusiasm and willingness to be aggressive then I'd take that. Falling over like Ward I will not
  7. How are peeps reading it? Its behind a paywall?
  8. To be fair, for us at the time, he was immense. We noticed when he wasn't playing. I mean, it was Amartey covering, but he was good. Man Utd was too much of a jump, and basically shattered him. He's slow, but maybe with Okoli, might actually be solid. He can head the ball, that's a bonus on our current lot!!!
  9. I know nothing about him, so not gonna pretend it's good/bad. But to me this is a club trying to get coaches in to play the Enzo way for the long term. This to me from the outside is an Enzo recommendation
  10. I'll be surprised if he lasts the season. His comments and attitude is bizarre.
  11. The club is a mess, and it was evident in the wolves game. Ruud doesn't have his own coaching staff, fans rightly frustrated, atmosphere in the stadium is toxic, some players playing who should have gone long ago and not given new contracts. (Vards excluded, obviously) This is what happens when you rest on your laurels, remember the good old days, don't move forward. The board are stinking the place out, the structure of the club is wrong, the players are over paid so we can't move them on, the investment is wrong, the dealings in the sponsorship is wrong. Decision after decision is wrong. It's stale, it stinks and the culture isn't changing. Too much of the club is ran on loyalty and not performance and ability. Why oh why weren't significant changes made after relegation the first time?? That should have rang alarm bells. That team should NEVER have got relegated. So many poor choices and yet those same people are still in position and it's happening again! I'm so frustrated with this club and the negligence that has been shown. There's no hiding anymore, yet they continue. We need new direction and a higher level of competency at this club, otherwise we'll be a Blackburn, Hull, Coventry team is no time flat. Watching Forest in Europe while we are 13th in the championship with Ayew as our main striker We are relegated, I'm convinced after that horrendous performance on Sunday, and that is on the board
  12. Liverpool could rest their whole starting 11 and still beat us 8-0. There is just no point playing this game. Awful form, injuries to key players, no confidence, horrendous kick off time for boxing day, only way up there is by coach/driving, potential thrashing What's the point? Call it off, take the 3-0 loss. There is not a chance in hell we get anything but a demoralising loss. Just imagine if someone gets a red card?! This could add more damage to an already demoralised squad. We had such a poorer quality of squad when we came up in 2014. But they had determination, we had a team that we could get behind, we were competitive, we had a coaching structure that worked, we had something to believe in.
  13. Bruised egos
  14. It's very hard to back someone who we know is not good enough. My heart sank when I saw his name on the team sheet. This isn't a one game thing. He was awful in the relegation season and it's continued. He needs to leave for everyone's sake. But the whole team needs to up their game, otherwise it will be a heavy, if not record breaking, scoreline. Edit - I don't agree with booing a player during the game isn't constructive.
  15. Absolutely agree. And that is why I think he should have done better and just dealt with it, even with the shout. But it's just an observation that I noticed in the highlights.
  16. I think he missed heard a call. You can definitely hear a shout in the highlights as he went to the ball and look at his reaction after. The body language almost saying why did you shout? He should have probably still done better though. But I do wonder if that is the reason. @StriderHiryu - what do you think? Have you stomached analysing this game?
  17. But at the moment we need a better shot stopper than someone good with their feet, when Mads is out. Yesterday was a prime example. Ward did do a great pass to Soumare in the middle, but my word he didnt cover himself with glory, did he? His confidence is shot at this club and he needs a move down the leagues to get back up. He's not good enough and a Ward with no confidence is horrendous. He was one of the reasons we were relegated. Granted the defence was poop, but they were with Mads and he still makes saves. Ward doesn't. Mads is way too good for us. Put him against Liverpool and we'll easily concede over 5. We're going down, the next few games will kill any confidence in the whole team. It feels like the club is a mess, and if we're not careful we'll be a also ran Championship team harping about our past.
  18. Poor signings. Ayew, BDR, should not be on the pitch at the same time. My word, we collect trash. DoF needed who knows what the hell he's doing! We lose the next 3 is almost a given and how do you recover confidence after that? Shame we can't terminate contracts of deadwood.
  19. I anyone is going to this you need a medal. 8pm on boxing away to Liverpool no trains home, seeing us lose. I salute you!
  20. I also thought the officials were poor again, but that's just the standard these days poor boarding on useless. He was inconsistent, failed to book a few Wolves players, yet books ours for less. One player had 3 attempts at arguing with the ref, yet still not booked.
  21. And this is the problem. Letting this guy be responsible solely for footballing matters. It's failing. It's falling apart. It's a mess. We need a competent DoF with contacts. We need to get rid of the stale smell otherwise it's groundhog day.
  22. I think that's a fair assessment. In terms of you passing it around, it helped that we didn't really put pressure on your lads too much. I can't believe your Number 7 was centre of the pitch, brought the ball down, stopped, looked round then passed be ball. All without any pressure. We were soooo poor I think both teams weren't great, but Wolves showed more than we did. 2nd half was a training game for both teams, really. Fair play, but you're right unfortunately we're in direct competition for the 17th spot, but I think Wolves have more to get out then we do. It'll depend how your new manager does.
  23. Leicester - hold my beer
  24. This could be a blood bath. Frail defence, frail confidence will all be gone after this andan City. I just can't see how we recover. If we're 18th/19th and I definitely expect us to in the new year, then attracting the players we need will be almost impossible. This was a chance to create day light and in full Leicester style we royally messed it up. I'm sticking to 11-0 and I'm serious
