  1. They really need to. £50m + add-ons for each own goal/mishap that leads to a goal.
  2. Here's hoping for a new year miracle, where we put in a good 90 minute performance AND win the game. Yeah, I can't see it either. Must. Stay. Optimistic.
  3. I do when I go into town, to be fair
  4. Reliable? Hopefully we will sell for at least what we paid. Shame as I thought he was developing into a decent player. Maybe he just hasn't settled in UK
  5. Pop goes another transfer lead. I hope this isn't the start as we mean to go on. I have a horrid feeling it'll be same as last Jan with Enzo
  6. Social media is a trap. It's all tailored to your interests and what you've clicked on. It will show you narrative from your views, and in some cases show extreme version of them. Which is dangerous. I decided to delete all my social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram etc..) as I was past caring, fed up of adverts, staged videos, stupid views on stuff, idiots grabbing attention and just crap. Felt so much better for it. I couldn't get rid of Foxestalk though. I like your thinking @Parafox. You'll feel happier for it, and definitely enjoy yourself!
  7. This has to be complete flobble. It's too much of a sensible signing?! For now, talent and price.
  8. West ham are thinking of letting go their director of football for poor performance. £155m and worse off from where they were. Plymouth are looking at changing theirs for poor manager decisions and transfers. We have Rudkin who makes mistakes time and time again and we've regressed, yet he's still here. I know it more than him, it's the board as whole. But the footballing operations needs fresh blood and competent people as well, sharpish. If other clubs change it, why can't we?
  9. It's a no. He didn't do anything that would say he can cut it. This is lazy scouting/journalism.
  10. Quick, someone send this comment to Chris Sutton!
  11. So would he move from one relegation threatened team to another? Even though we have a better chance of surviving
  12. Hmmm. Is he better than our full backs?
  13. As someone who doesn't get involved in X/twitter, what does he recommend?
  14. That's a decent appointment for them.
  15. Exactly. He'll be better for a while season at professional level, then sitting on a bench. He's not ready for PL, but he might be okay in the championship. We'll see where 2025 takes us.
  16. This ^ Soumare has been the improved player of the season so far. The Ipswich game almost kicked him into gear. It was good as well that the media team made such a point of his challenge. From being booed when he came on, to now being a starter is an impressive turnaround. Cooper, yes Cooper, does deserve credit for bringing him out of his shell, and maybe giving him the confidence that he can play in the premier league. He has proven a lot of people wrong. There was a player in there. I agree with you, maybe he was just unsettled here for whatever reason, it can happen. Going away on loan and playing regularly and getting some praise may have also helped, cleared his head and made him realise he is a good player. Recently Bilal, but I would argue it was always a matter of time before he came good. Before Cooper was sacked, you could see each game he played he was getting better and better. So has RvN improved him, or are we just seeing the potential that was always there, but would take a while to come through?
  17. Incompetence in our board 18th Jan. We need to act as quickly as we can. December should have been the time to get targets identified and feelers put out. So we know which players, how much and whether they'll come. I bet targets have been looked at but they have sat on it and thought, that's a after Christmas issue. Or we'll look like we're trying but not actually achieve anything. Aka last Jan. I just don't trust this club to get the right people in and quickly.
  18. Sigh! We shouldn't be relying on other results. The Wolves game is really biting us on the rear
  19. How the hell is that a penalty?! Referees in this league are atrocious
  20. Nobody on this forum look at the table right now....it will hurt your eyes.
  21. A a wise man said...
  22. Doubt it. Villa are a very good team who have a tactically aware manager. 3-0 loss. But you're right, we do need to pick up an unexpected point from somewhere, and soon
  23. That wolves game was brutal from a human level. It was so toxic in the ground which transferred to the players. Looking back, I think that had something to do with the performance. He's not good enough and he needs to leave, but it must have affected him personally no matter if you're a strong person or not. RvN has to take part blame for putting someone in that position, but if he didn't do his research, then someone else should have said something, like, I don't know, the DoF! When Mads was injured, there should have been a conversation, someone at the club should have read the room. Booing is a double edge sword. Yes it got the point across on how we feel about Ward, and we'll be better for it but it can be damaging. It's a way fans show frustration towards managers as well. There isn't many other ways a point can get across in a loud way. I never agree with booing your own players during a game. Soumare is a prime example. People round me used to boo him when he came on. Now look at him. Ward isn't capable of a redemption like that, I know and I was angry at each of the goal. But that was at the team. So many clangers from too many people. Like I say, I think he's useless at this level, but there is a human there as well. It maybe a case that he never recovers. Who would take him now?
