If Everton hate the premier league that much, just relegate them now. -

I think the system isn't the issue. Its one player short. Think about it this way, in midfield who was the creative spark? Who was spraying the passes to unlock a Watford side that looked poor today and was expecting more (sorry @Super_horns, also your keeper looked suspect all game and not comfortable - was it an off day?) who were happy for us to pass it around. We relied on Vesty and Mads, which is not ideal. Hamza isn't creative and goes safe, KDH is a work horse in midfield but won't pick out a pass and Ndidi isn't that type either. Not one player in the middle was that type of player. Yes, it was slow today, but without that creative flair, someone who can change direction of the pass open up the space with pass and movement it will look like what we saw today. After half time, it was better. Simply put, we missed Winks and are short on a few players for the system to work fully. 2 transfer windows will address it, hopefully. Remember, these players aren't really designed to play this way on the whole and what he Enzo has done in a short period of time with them is quite impressive. From a team that conceded far too many to a solid defence, not conceding corners, actually have a plan etc. He's turned a team that was built for counter and direct to a passing, controlling team. Was it vintage today, no. Was it important to get a win...yes and we did. We move on. -

Highlight of the game for me, bar the win, was having a competent referee!! Best performance by any ref for years. Made hard work of it, but it was a good win in the end. Vesty was great today. -
Praet on the bench. I think he'll suit this style of play. Very strong bench
-
Casino then he's off to a special massage place

I've missed this...stupid international Southgate crap!! Big test today without Winks. Let's see who fills for him. Come on citeh!

My condolences

Set a salary and tell people! Frustrates me when jobs don't specify it. Maybe I've worked in the public sector too long where it is stated, but this just seems a silly thing to hide/not say.

I went with the minions and they both enjoyed it. It was a decent game, but lack of pace and decision on the ball needs to be worked on. Defenders played well with some good defending and tackles, I thought. They got in some good positions, but just didn't have the quality. Better than last season. Held onto it at the end. Leitzig is outstanding keeper at this level.

Now that was a great game

Bet we see cannon at some point

I'm going for a draw as well

I've been struggling for a while. Like someone else said, I go into work always expecting the worse. Sleep is an issue and I have been given sleeping tablets from the doctor, but I don't want to rely on them. I've always suffered from anxiety, but it seems so much worse this time. It's not just episodes, it's day after day. Work is stressful, life in general seems to be. Money, sorting the kids with school runs, clubs, homework etc...life seems never ending and non relaxing. The news is relentless. I actually deleted all my social media as I couldn't stand it anymore. I don't know if it's me, but expectations from work has gone through the roof with even little things. Honestly, my mental health seems to have taken a battering since COVID times. I took a week off work to see if that helped. It did in that week, but it's just back again, though don't want to be signed off as I worry it'll be seen negatively on me as a line manager. I've tried therapy through NHS and privately, but it never really helps long term. The NHS come across as so over stretched, I feel guilty using it and they take ages to get sorted. This forum is great for me. Some of the posts are informative, some our funny and some actually give an education to random stuff and football. I love reading different opinions on anything. It's good that we're getting good results but football is a release for me. My escape. But outside, just seems a never ending battle and I'm not sure I'm built to cope, also not sure being signed off will help or not. That's a long post! I've been awake since 3am, so that might be the reason. 😄

When you work in the public sector, this is common (not a moan, just stating facts). I've worked in the public sector most of my working life and I've never had a bonus. I've had an appraisal each year, but could only move up my pay scale. Once I hit the top, nothing more I could do if there wasn't a promotion prospect. I've worked in places where I never went on courses due to budgets constraints or got paid overtime, so I stopped that.. Even a thank you is seen as a bonus. It can make you think what's the point, but the offset for that is that the pension is good and better job security, but with the way things are going maybe that'll change.

Eeewwww...Low block...there's that phrase again. Really don't like it. It's too American sounding. Sorry a middle of the night, a 'I can't get back to sleep' moan. As you were. -

I'm with others, the defence wasn't the issue. They scored a scrappy goal. They kept us at arms length as well and unfortunately we didn't have an answer. It was our attacking play that wasn't cutting through then that was issue. Vards had no service/poor game. Casadei was poor. We really missed Ndidi. We need to be attacking at pace and taking players on more regularly. Vesty wasn't the issue, neither was the defence. It was the last third where it didn't work.

Yunus also broke for this one, I'm afraid.

Man Utd are a mess from top to bottom. Not one of their signings have improved, I would argue most have access actually gone backwards. IN Ten Hag we trust
