It's been running on the sky sports news ticker that Rangers have approached us in a bid to sign him, whether that's a rehash from previous stories or something more concrete I'm unsure. Not seen it before today.

Achilles ruptures can be close to 12 months for full rehab, I imagine whilst he is back on grass he has a lot of boxes to tick before hes even considered to return to full training let alone playing matches.
-
The bloke is so far off it he will be gone before the end of the season, massive backwards step for Bristol City after Manning.

That's class! And a slight level of madness for a Sunday, well done! -
The issue for me isn't whether he's a good manager or not, but the environment you are taking him from and putting him into. He would be going from, what is with all due respect in comparison a small club, with a relatively small coaching staff and multidisciplinary support staff to a club that has as many staff in each individual department. Rather than everyone reporting to you, you are working alongside numerous heads of departments who have likely been there long before you and will be there after you have gone. Everything you try and bring in standards wise isn't just across a playing squad of 25 players, and small group of staff you see across the training ground in your day, your trying to implement that across an organisation at a facility that is huge, trying to set and maintain standards across people who you may not come across unless you go looking for on a daily basis. It's a big jump, and if you do it i feel like the club and fan base has to be accepting that an appointment like that would be given time to make meaningful change and the club would have to go all in on supporting it. You can't bring a Challinor or Wellens into the building to build something but allow the players a direct line to Rudkin or Tops ear. This is why I don't think that kind of appointment is on the cards.

It's a result of the product created by the Premier League, Sky and a number of the clubs. Even if the title race and battle for relegation had a bit more about them, you would still be watching a heavily commercialised product with very little emotion in the stands and on the pitch, interrupted every 10-15 mins by a VAR check, while commentators and pundits alike turn all topics of conversation back to the big 6.

After lots of back and fourth over our honeymoon destination we finally settled on Thailand for Nov/Dec 26. Two nights in Bangkok, 6 nights in Phuket staying just off Karon beach and then finishing with 5 nights in Koh Lanta. We are far too excited for something that's 18 months away and keep forgetting there is the small matter of a wedding first.

Either that or we are speaking to the same person
-
I've said in other posts previously that I was led to believe the conversations weren't with Rudkin, the first talks 2 years ago were with Top himself at his UK property. Im not saying I totally believe what I was told but the individual is someone I trust in a professional capacity and has been on RMs coaching staff at other clubs and I can't see what they would gain from making stuff up, other than knowing I'm a Leicester fan.
-
It is in line with what I heard, that essentially the talks took place a few weeks before the end of the season. News broke around points deduction, just after journalists start saying it's Martin. We go very quiet, in the end Martin gets fed up of waiting and progresses with Rangers. This supposedly being the second time we have held talks then delayed, the first being pre Enzo, where Martin took the Southampton job because they came in and offered him guarantees while we were stalling. The individual who told me this I know has some insight into Martins side, although up until a week before he went Rangers he said he was pretty much done here and a new DoF was part of the agreement. Whatever the case everything points to us being a mess which we all largely knew.

Its a bit strange the amount of PGMOL related content that Football Insider seems to post, quoting a guy who has been shown to have a very public vendetta against them, as their main source. I've seen a number of articles that cite things that have supposedly been missed or happened, or things about to happen with certain repercussions then nothing. A lot of it unsurprisingly turns out to be rubbish, I know there isn't a high bar for journalism these days but I don't see how you can keep posting rubbish from the same source.

Always liked Brannagan, pretty much a work horse in the midfield but has chipped in with some goals and assist, reckon he could increase that with better players around him. Seems to have been pretty integral to Oxford the past few years, wasn't aware he was 29 though which is my only concern. Id take him though, the kind of character I think we would need in the building if we can get some of the rot out of it!

Saka not coming across well refusing to speak, Nico Rosberg brilliant "who was that soccer player?"

A month out from my next 10k where I was hoping to go sub 45 and today I couldn't even finish. Got to 8k and threw the towel in, legs were gone, lungs had nothing. Mad to think this time last month I felt so strong and today as the k's ticked over it was like the first time I had ever gone that distance -
Probably but he says no active talks, possibly meaning Martin who we were in contact with is likely to not be progressing.
-
The no active talks element being leaked because they can't approach Rohl until this clause kicks in around how much we would have to pay?

At Sheffield United they looked to put more emphasis on his defensive duties, sitting infront of the back 4, breaking play up. Same with when he operated at right back, his role seemed to be to stop balls going in the box and to deal with players who were overlapping or underlapping down his side. As we know he's very good at that part of the game. It was totally different to his role under Enzo and he was very rarely used as a player who was required to get on the ball a lot and control play.
-
I think that's probably more an indication of how comfortable he is with his job. There's a misconception that Sporting Directors/DoF are the key decision makers, reality is they tend to be the face of the decisions made much higher up. I imagine he's kept his job because he causes very little fuss, a lot of the guys who you see moving on from roles tend to be because they have no problem with challenging the leadership and kicking up a fuss if they don't agree.

Careful Guillem, even Chelsea's star player has said post-match that he got bored with the passing sideways and backwards and took it upon himself to go forwards. A billion pound squad winning a competition where they have far more financial muscle than their competition may not quite be the achievement he makes it out to be.
-
I'm with you on this, seen them a few times and far from impressed. Have mates on both the Peterborough and Barnsley staff who have said that they were not that good despite their record total, the quality of player they recruited for that level just meant they were better than many teams.
-
I think Birmingham will get found out more so for having Chris Davies in charge. I have nothing against the bloke and while he has strolled to a record points tally, it will be a whole other level against a jump up in quality and a league that has greater depth of opposition. I don't think they will be towards the bottom but I think they'll struggle to be serious promotion contenders despite their budget.

What type of football do people want to watch?
LcFc_Smiv replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Aggressive on the front foot, high-pressing football winning the ball back high up the pitch. If they beat the press midfielders and defenders stepping in to go and win it. In possession look forward, play forward, if you can't quick switches and attack the opposite side. A bit like Sheff Utd did when they came up originally under Wilder pre-covid, just a pure no respect for anyone/anybody style of football that aims to cause carnage. -
That's the one but the panelling ran down the sides with a gold trim around it
