  1. Sean Dyche will not come here. There's been several times over the past 5 or 6 years where Dyche could have been a LCFC manager. A lot on here turned their noses up to that prospect, now he gets to turn his nose up at us. That's hard far and fast we've fallen. In the summer it sounds like we spoke to him but couldn't afford his wages. And that was when we were one of the favourites for promotion. Now we still can't afford his wages and we're on the brink of relegation to League One. Dyche is an established Premier League manager and whilst he might be short of options right now for a Premier League return, I could see him being tempted with a top Championship club where promotion in his first season would be a reasonable assumption. But us? Right now? No way! He has a reputation to protect and even if we could meet his salary demands I can't imagine he'd want to come here with a risk of a Championship relegation to blight his CV. He'll be happy to wait until summer and assess his options then.
  2. They should relax. If he has a brain, which from what I've seen of him, does appear to be the case, then there is close to zero chance he'll jump ship.
  3. Thomas Frank will not come here.
  4. That's funny, but also probably true!
  5. De Zerbi is now available.
  6. Lol. He's reached finals of major international tournaments. He will walk into a top half Prem job on big money on reputation alone. I don't doubt that his success at club level may turn out to be questionable but to suggest he may consider a Championship relegation fight is absolutely bonkers!
  7. Southgate will not come here. If he ever decided to come back to club management, it would be his choice as to when that happens and he would comfortably land a top half prem job. We couldn't afford a fraction of his wage demands and if we could, that would raise serious questions over the last few transfer windows.
  8. This 100% When the team performs badly, the fans are quick to criticise the players and the manager (with justification), but the team has been a shambles through about a half dozen managers (I absolutely believe Maresca was a lucky appointment, but even his team limped over the line). Those poor team performances are a symptom. The cause is firmly at boardroom level but fans spend time and energy trying to get the manager out and the board are a side issue. The whole thing is on a rinse and repeat cycle. Top either needs to sell up and walk away, or employ actual competent people and leave them to run it. Time to pick a manager, stick with them and focus attention on real and meaningful change at the club.
  9. Not sure we could afford the compensation due, but Tim Flowers is doing a middling to poor job at Bromsgrove Sporting. Currently 16th in the Southern League Premier Central. Links to the club though...
  10. Rudkin's job is not, nor has it ever been at stake. In any other organisation he'd have been long gone by now. Top obviously likes him a lot.
  11. Wait. What? Skubala out!
  12. Mate, RVN was a world class striker. We couldn't buy a goal
  13. We'll get through this.
  14. It's taken so long, by way of an apology, they're going to award us an additional 15 points.
  15. This has more legs than the Enzo rumour imo. And we desperately need a first choice keeper.
  16. I thought I saw somewhere once that they automatically count all season ticket holders in the attendance, regardless whether they show up or not. Not sure if true.
  17. I'd actually lose a bit of respect for Enzo if he came back. Hardly screams ambition does it? He is setting his stall out as a top, top manager who wants to be leading teams at the very top of Europe's elite divisions. Coming back here would be the polar opposite to his career trajectory and even by simply signing a contract here would, at the very least, raise eyebrows with regards the reputation he is building.
  18. I've never seen him move so quick as when he got across and put the block on Page's shot.
  19. I'm convinced there must be a clause in Ayew's contract that guarantees him a high number of minutes on the pitch, or we have to pay him for every minute he's not on the pitch. It's the only explanation.
  20. Adventurous.
  21. We sign players and award them with the biggest contracts of their career. Any move away from us will see a smaller pay packet. If you have a four year contract and after 6 months it looks like the club isn't the right fit and you have no incentive to up your game, then there's more than a few that seem to be happy to go through the motions for 3 and a half years, rather than leave and be paid less and be expected to do more. It's our fault. We created this.
