It’s the EPL and FFP rules that are not fit for purpose. We cajt blame the owners for showing ambition. At the time if we didn’t spend the money after we sold Maguire, Chilwell, Fofana, Maddison we would have been up in arms. 80% of the PL will face sanctions the FFP rules are crap and it’s only now after Everton, forest, us people are realizing they don’t really work in this league and need amending. What is the point in FFP? to prevent clubs like Wimbledon, Bury etc going bust? Cos I would say points deductions make it more likely for clubs like us. My point is Chelsea are in a Similar position to Wolves in the league. They actually beat them 2-4 at Stamford Bridge and Cov put in a much better account than ourselves. I bet Cov would. I’m slightly concerned after today. If we compare covs game yesterday they were all over wolves away from home. Wolves are above Chelsea in the league and we weren’t great with just 1 SOT. i really hope we push on but this is not the same team from earlier in the season. What are defenders meant to do in that position? It was the slightest of touches and cos Vesty got skinned. Don’t blame Doyle at all for that one

The way he set us up for this game ( and others against decent teams) is pretty much suicidal. I’ll give him the benefit of doubt but he needs to learn this and come up with a Plan B. I was actually quite happy to see Vesty up front at the end as it showed we wasn’t just trying to do the same old like every other game

It’s a good point. With the tactics we play most defenders would look crap and exposed. However my issue with Vesty is he has no pace and looks like a school ball defender anytime he plays against players who are above average

Fully agree. Hamza positionally is nowhere near good enough to play that role.

It was really weird. We started the game open with about 3 defenders when they attacked. Then when down to 10 men he plays 5 at the back at 2-2 so basically no chance to score on the counter and nick it

We should have set up more solid defensively. Should have started Justin RB and stayed there, maybe even got 5 at the back and use the pace of the wingers. Chelsea are a shambles at the minutes and there for the taking defensively especially the goalkeeper. The only reason we got back in it was a lucky and shocking own goal

How is there 208 pages on Enzo tactics. It’s the same every game. The right back goes into centre mid leaving us exposed everytime we lose the ball. You can’t play that against most teams in the Prem so he needs to come up with a Plan B asap
