I honestly dont understand how we are so far off but other teams arent? 1. Forest signed loads of players on big wages? And sold virtually no one 2. Villa signed loads of players on big wages? And sold virtually no one 3. Man Utd have wasted so much 4. Chelsea? 5. Arsenal Meanwhile, we sold fofana 60m, Barnes 40m, Maddison 50m, KDH 35m, player after player How are we so affected each year? Are we paying mental wages or just not cooking the books like every other team? I agree we pay silly wages for some but i bet if you looked at West Ham, Villa, Forest, Everton theyd be the same

The one thing i do find odd with Ruud. Nearly every game he subs the centre backs- is this some kind of tactic? Never really known a manager that does it nearly every game

Every manager would struggle with the state of our squad. We are in serious need of some quality. Any player with quality is either injured, been sold or is 37 years old. We need to signs 3-4 players with ‘real’ quality now, which will almost be impossible this month. We are better than Soton and i possibly Everton. Also possibly Ipswich but i do rate McKenna as a manager so its a toss up between us 2 for the last relegation spot id say.

Wouls take him back but we need to concentrate on the defence first. That should include a top class exerienced defender on loan (Maguire / Trippier or Chilwell). We cant waste the whole of Jan playing with the same crap defence

Ruud did well tonight. Dropped Ward from the squad completely so reacted well. I think the reaction to the line up was OTT. Bilal is our player so focus on him, Buo is good but isnt massivley better than Bilal. Ayew defensively is better as well. Also talks sense in his post match interview, lets hope he gets funds as the squad serioulsy lacking quality at the min, its almost embarrassing

Main thing is we concentrate on the defence. Since Fofana lwft we’ve not had a top defender. I think Coady is OK but Vestergaard/Faes/Okoli are relegation material and our wing backs are not good enough. Concentrate on a RB and top CB and maybe a LB.

Maybe if this was carried out we’d be OK now. All the top players Rodgers had at his disposal and all the terrible players he signed we are lumped with them. It appears BR was a good coach (of players others signed), but his own signings (inc his recruitment team) is essentially the reason we are now in such a mess.

Exactly well said. Ruud has got this very wrong. It became personal when Ward played too many games in the season we got relegated, if anything the fans have a right to higlight to Ruud what we think of Ward. And yes i blame the manager more for playing him. But off the field he also sounds like a knob who couldnt care less about the team, his body language is atrocious when he plays.

Im genuinely baffled at how hes ended up playing at such a high level. In some ways i admire him. Must be one of the luckiest MF in history

RvN has to react after this defeat. If he decides to stick with Ward, Ruud will quickly lose the fanbase. He needs to show strength and drop Ward, not just based on his terrible history with the club and the fact we should have terminated his contract ages ago, but for the fact anyone with half a brain watched that 1st half display and realised he is nowhere near PL standard

How did Kasper train with this guy day in day out and keep high standards? Losing Kasper was the beginning of the end for us

To be honest Wolves are in a false position. They actually have a decnet team and were never going down. Still have hope for RvN but i cannot believe any manager would think starting Ward, Vestergaard and Soumare in the same team is a good idea. If be happy if all 3 never played for us again

It baffles me that football coaches and managers that are paid well dont realise how shite he is. He might be amazing in training but he is for me the main reason we got relegated. The fact hes even on the bench winds me up - terrible goalkeeper

We need defenders, our back 4 is shocking. We should be looking at getting players in Jan on loan who are established (ala Huth in 2014)…players that arent making the first 11 but want to play…. - Willy Boly - Maguire - Chilwell - Mings - Tierney

To be fair to Potter nobody knew if wed get a points deduction or not it was a big risk for any manager. I really think Potter will go to a team and show what a top manager he is again. Hes miles ahead of Southgate as well
