VK looks good, vesty looks a liability

Potter would be a great appointment, especially if he can bring the back room staff that signed a lot of Brighton’s players. De Zerbi benefited from the team potter left behind. I believe Potter would build a team and environment much like Pearson did. I hope we can get him in
-
With our FFP issues there’s no way we improve on Wilf. I remember when he was injured last season we struggled without him
-
Fair play to him for getting the Chelsea job but I’m still on the fence whether he’s actually any good or not. any manager worth there salt should have got our squad promoted
-
Counter attack with pace. For a team like us this is how we should play in the PL. it gives the best chance of beating by the better teams.its the style we played under Pearson and CR when we won the league. i don’t get the obsession with passing it about defence trying to walk it into the goal, it’s mainly boring and against better teams non-effective

Percy article enzo set to stay, vardy and vesty new deals

Name a PL defender who’s worse than Vestergaard on 75k a week + there must be plenty of decent young up coming defender who would be happy with 50k and they also may have a decent sell in value honestly I’d prefer re-signing Cags than giving Vesty that much -

If we are paying Vesty 75k for 3 years that’s really ****ing annoying with our FFP issues. Vesty isn’t good enough against PL attackers and we’ll end up having to replace him sooner than later once Enzo realises like Brendan did. -
Over 30% wouldn’t extend Wilf. Don’t think we’ll get better than him with FFP restrictions and plus his value would probably be at least 20mill with a contract
-
Never understood this signing in the first place
-
No chance he goes to wrexham he’s levels ahead of them. Vardy would get double figures in the PL next season if we give him enough chances. If he stays he’s our No1 striker. Everyone saying he’ll stay as a backup I doubt it. We are not getting anyone near Vardys level with FFP rules let alone above it
-
The reason for the new deal is likely so we could get some money for him, or even keep him as a back up striker. We weren’t in a position to offer him a new deal last summer as we couldn’t have afforded it in the Championship

Is birstall park and ride running tomo does anyone know?
-
Ok we can but Enzo won’t last long if we do
-
I agree with the vesty comment but Wilf has performed consistently in the PL for us for years. He’s a top half Prem quality player. No matter the position I think a player of his quality we need to retain at all costs. We cannot play the same we have been playing in the championship in the Prem so maybe we do setup with DM. Peps teams have always had defensive type CM- Rodri / Fernandinho. If it’s good enough for Pep it’s good enough for Enzo

Greaves From Hull and Summerville from Leeds would be worth it just to wind the Leeds fans up even more
-
Exactly where he has played and excelled this season. It’s no coincidence that when we hit some bad form this season Wilf wasn’t playing or not fully fit. I can’t see us being able to sign someone at his level With the financial restrictions. I’d much rather keep Wilf than sign longstaff or brown hill

Mads Ricardo Coady Greaves Doyle KDH Winks Ndidi Fatawuu Vardy Summerville

Thought villa lost 100milion last year. Why are we having to sell our assets but teams like Villa can still splash the Cash
-
Should be a priority to keep
-
On the plane Gareth?
-
3 year deal now
-
Great to have the promotion on the CV but I’m reserving full judgement until next season. Hopefully he’s learnt we have to play different against some teams. If we play like he set us up against Chelsea we’ll be the same as burnley and come straight back down
-
If we can’t spend money we won’t get anyone near the level of Vardy, maybe even Daka
-
He’s still got it. He’s a confidence player, when he’s on confidence he’ll bang them in. Remember he wasn’t playing top tier football till he was 27/28 so his body hasn’t suffered like others that start much younger. He could still get double figures in the PL which would be huge for us next year

Next Seasons Squad - Can we now talk about it?
dylanlegend replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
For his wages I wouldn’t keep Vestergaard he’s not good enough for PL on 75k a week. I’d try to keep Wilf tho. we need to unearth some cheap gems. Is Steve Walsh available?
