No. For all the crap signings and players (many worse than Hamza), he probably epitomises the state we're in more than anyone else. How he's continually been kept on is mind blowing.

It's not that hypothetical though is it. He's been called out for it and dropped by multiple managers. He's the guy holding that stupid Enzo sign. He's supposedly refused to stay at the training ground 1 night a week (the kind of flexibility expected in most office job contracts). He stormed down the tunnel at Preston (I think it was) when the other players came over to the fans. He's gone into to majority of challenges so half-hearted this season. You're right that we'll never know exactly what has gone on but there's an overwhelming amount of anecdotal and actual evidence stacked up against him. Hardly unfair for us to come this conclusion. End of the day, as fans you're always going to have speculate to some extent since we'll never know the true story, so best we can do is base it on what we hear and have seen.

If you've watched him play this season, don't understand how you can reach this conclusion. He's been a total liability bar a couple of little cameos. It would be punishing ourselves to play him

Yes, I completely agree but he didn't do that did he? Strange example to use. The team completely retreated into their shell before he made any changes. He made 3 like for like changes and then a couple that were more defensive minded, because he didn't have the other options. Not making any changes would have been mental

Was going to say, his immediate use of Aluko after the sending off, when needing to see out the game is something he deserves some credit for. Would have been easy to cast him aside after that.

Don't think he was particularly great but did little wrong. There was a bit near the end where Agyemang had him 1 on 1 and Nelson was patient before winning the ball. Immediately thought that if that was Faes, he may well have won the ball but it would have been by throwing himself at the ball increasing the risk of losing it. Think he's played quite within himself so far and I mean that as a compliment. If things go his way and he works hard, he's a 50+ cap England player

The last couple of games, he's suddenly shown the ability to pass. I think that's because he's been deeper and been allowed to do that. Him sitting in there and screening has given cover but also allowed 2 centre mids to get forward. It's completely changed the way we can play

It really isn't. He was massively hyped from a young age and if you watched his debut, not sure I've seen a young player look so assured/demanding the ball like he did. His physicality was always going to be the potential stumbling block, so it's just whether the injury and lack of development time, has really hampered that aspect. Otherwise he'd 100% have been a regular member of the squad, a potentially would have already moved beyond us.

If you like the guy why would you want him involved in this cesspit of an environment whilst he's still recovering. Nothing would set you back like that.

I do get that when it's a more 'credible' source. But one look at that and even the formatting, web design is so amateurish, I'm not sure it does feed the narrative. Well maybe it does, but that will be because of the hysterical reactions to it on here that fan the flames.

Which weirdly also meant we saw much more of his passing ability. Not as good as Winks in that regard but offers way more defensively which is needed at the moment so I'd want to see him playing as the deepest one protecting the back 4, popping it off to more creative players.
