  1. It's nice with the black, my favourite yellow face watch is the Citizen Tsuyosa, my go to for all of summer and take on holiday. Really good watch for £300 and one of my favourites - anything Citizen is really good though.
  2. I believe so yes, I would like to visit Japan one day and get a bargain grand seiko - I'm sure they are about £2000 less than what they retail for on Chrono and the UK
  3. The time it takes to make the watch and the detail/precision that goes into it, and the Zaratsu hand polishing. Swiss movement which are the best etc Most watch companies make a big mark up as well, some 6/7 times cost price Christopher Ward UK brand I am a big fan of and have a watch of theirs, they have a rule where the price is always 3 x the cost to make the watch I'm not sure they are brute looking but each to their own, i would associate breitling, some of the coloured dial submariners as more brute and flash
  4. I’m tempted by a Chinese tourbillon - you can get one for about £400 🤣 it is just a roll of the dice wether it would last for a few years
  5. Thanks, luckily watch thief’s wouldn’t know what a grand seiko is if it slapped them in the face, so I’m good 🤣it’s the cherry blossom one and the details are incredible in different lights. I’m dreading servicing it tbh il worry about that in a few years!
  6. there are two types of people who buy watches, some that want an expensive piece on their wrist to show it off and people who are interested in the precision of Horology. citizen eco drive are great watches I have a grand seiko that has a sweeping minute hand - It utilizes a traditional mainspring to generate power, but replaces the standard mechanical escapement with an electro-magnetic "tri-synchro regulator" controlled by a quartz crystal i have 5 watches and the more I collect the less I wear them so will only buy another if I sell. I will always wear one for a few weeks then rotate
  7. “unskilled” Is subjective isn’t it? I know a lot of trades people who earn more money than a lot of professional teachers. Are the bricklayers more middle class than teachers? it’s an interesting one
  8. How would you define what jobs are middle class?
  9. Why didn't they check for stab wounds straight away when he said he has been stabbed? "i don't think you have mate" was the term muttered
  10. But, people still buying season tickets who are still very anti current ownership. Make it make sense? Do they realise the money goes into the club, Top stays? Top see's nothing wrong with the club if everyone is buying the season tickets?
  11. I did see this, and I am tempted!
  12. hot air balloons And Ice cream vans in residential areas - (Petrol prices?)

    The Weather

lightening hit a house near us last night, sounded like a bomb went off (new build estate and luckily no one had moved into the house) loudest thunder/lightening I have heard in this country
  14. I would imagine there is an air of entitlement and arrogance towards the results from the club, the fact that they seemed confused that the results they get were very different from the foxes trust survey suggests that. The first thing I would be doing if I was in AH position would be to apologise for the complete lack of communication from the club and take ownership that there is complete disparity at the moment between the club and the fans. The sheer fact that I am almost certain this didn't happen, would suggest to me you are facing a huge uphill battle with the club @Foxes_Trust Again, noting will change until the powers above in charge sell up
  15. Trying to save face aren’t they what an absolute shit show of a club, few years of making it hard for fans to BUY tickets they are now giving them away for free. Couldn’t write it
  16. Noah Kahn with the missus later this year in Manchester
  17. Did you go in hard at the meeting? Did you real off all the aforementioned words to their face? Was it a bit more brave than the lad apologising to Top when we got relegated?
  18. French's fish and chips decent, people rave about it but i've definitely had better - 8/10 expect to queue peak times out the shop for 20-30 minutes

    The Weather

even on the lower setting there is definitely noise, but i'm used to sleeping with rain music or podcast so used to background noise... Suppose how loud is always subjective but it doesn't bother me at all. Sleep is always rubbish when it is hot as your body temperature needs to be 15-18 degrees (ish)

    The Weather

For everyone who struggles to sleep in this heat, a pro breeze portable aircon unit has changed my life, best investment ever!! 7000 BTU is enough for a bedroom

    Pizza

I’ve just bought an Ooni koda 2 (gas) I’m up to my neck in flour and dough and trying a cold ferment overnight, I’m new to this so any tips? I’ve bought a pizza peel, is it hard to get the pizza onto the pizza peel or is there a knack to it? I must have watched about 30 videos on tik tok with different recipes. Anyone got a really easy one either same day that still tastes nice or one where tou put the dough in the fridge? Dough gets f*cking everywhere doesn’t it Any good recommendations for pizza base sauce? Or any tips in general for a newbie?
  24. I’m sure we would love to see some pictures in the dog thread or this thread! Very envious
  25. I would also be interested in this, always throwing away coffee grounds, grass and vegetables. I have seen those barrel things that you rotate every few weeks. Sounds like satisfaction to me I’m close to re-mortgaging the house after a few bags of John inns no.3
