really informative podcast around alcohol I listen to a lot of the ZOE podcasts when driving, really really interesting.

alcohol has a social benefit up to 2 pints, there is no benefit after this. Never do you wake up and think, "do you know what.. wish i drank more" i was never a heavy drinker, but it completely rights me off for a few days if i had a big session, even 2-3 drinks I feel it the next day. There is still such a stigma around going out and not drinking, go out and order a coke or non alchoholic drink and people lose their minds A great charity I have ran a half marathon for last year was alcohol change, i really like their mantra - it isn't about giving up completely (for some people. giving up is the only solution i get that) sometimes, it is just being more conscious around drinking and how much you drink. There is no safe amount for human consumption, it is the most harmful drug around, yet it is often the social norm to drink multiple times a week. I probably have 2-3 drinks a month on average, i feel so good for it. i remember it being a huge story was it two years ago where those hours literally caught on fire in England because of the heat, soon as autumn came the whole thing was forgotten about. I can't ever remember in over 30 years a duration of this kind with no rain. The whole UK infrastructure just isn't set up to cope with this increased heat. I think anyone who is is HVAC over the next few years will make an absolute killing. We would be tempted if it wasn't for the eye soar fans stuck on the side of your house that are also noisy and not really fair on the neighbours

I can’t feel that much sympathy for any fans affected unfortunately. You could have absolute foreseen this happening, we are talking about a club that has been ran into the ground, been completely miss managed for years, a sh1t show on and off the pitch. Should be boycotting ffs what did you really expect? i’m sorry might sound harsh, but play silly games win silly prizes

yea they are great I love the canopy style shape they create, we have a couple in pots but they just don't do as well v in the ground, doesn't help that our garden doesn't get much shade and they get quite a bit of wind burn especially as they are young. Desperate for some rain!

Yep square box but we have extended the patio and now have a sunken step down patio with planters around it full of lavender etc which looks great, you get hardly any patio even in a 4 bed yea we have a slight front garden with the cheapest fastest growing shrubs that the developer has put in but least there is something we somehow managed to get them to plant a burgundy colour mature acer tree in the back garden which looks great as one of the trees died last summer before we moved in as they didn’t water the garden

Yep hideous, it suits us now but wouldn’t buy new build for next house purely based off the garden. It is going to cost us close to £2000 next spring to get some mature(ish) trees for some privacy

We are in the process of transforming our new build garden with loads of bee friendly plants/flowers, tree’s etc. whilst a lot around us just lay plastic astroturf…. That should be used for sports pitches only!
