Yeah I was perhaps a bit hyperbolic, but @purpleronnie nailed it. Normally commentators can’t wait to tell you to “listen to the fans roar”, but they’ve been quite verbal in their disbelief in how quiet it is. And once again, the loudest chant of the night is ‘feed the scousers’

Commentators on Prime ripping into us

Better than the 3-0 loss we all knew would be fairly respectable.

Liverpool vs Leicester (cup) post match
Hollism replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
What a miserable drive home. If I had been the manager tonight, and while we were 3-1 up I decided I wanted us to lose, I’d have done exactly what brendan did. First half it was like we had a new manager. I admit it was down to their mistakes, but we were so positive and attacked well. Could’ve been 4 or 5 at HT. Then it changed to Brendanball and the writing was on the wall. -
I haven’t seen a replay of this but I’m still amazed he didn’t give anything at all. We had him for the Watford game and he wasn’t anywhere near as bad.

From the away end, he seemed to be absolutely dreadful. Did those watching on television agree?

As of 2pm today, we’re homeowners! Also found out that the previous owners are Forest STHs Hahahahaha your village is Blue, your village is bluuuuuuuue

I’d cream if this happened

Will it? Surely the tv companies aren’t paying week-by-week, and the rearranged games will be on tv. Maybe even more than originally planned. Granted if it causes a reduction or delay of the payment when it’s eventually due, and there are clubs running hand to mouth, it might cause problems. Nothing than can’t be solved by a loan from one of the many banks queueing up to lend to them though.

Actually looks like it’s gonna happen! We went into the bank and they printed a closure statement, which was scanned and emailed over. Bonus requested in time Apparently we are now waiting for the sellers solicitor to provide the completion statement, and as long as it matches what is expected, they’ll send ours over to pay the deposit and it’ll be all systems go

Nah I'm joking. Chuffed for you mate and completely echo what you say about this thread.

Update: An email was sent from our mortgage provider to our advisor at 9pm last night confirming the funds are set to be released in time for completion on Monday! We’ve just had an email from the solicitor saying that they can’t apply for the HTB ISA bonus without a closure statement, and they need to apply for it before completion. They only asked us for this on Tuesday when they sent the contract through, and it takes up to 7 days for nationwide to sent the statement through. We can’t afford to miss out on the £1.6k bonus we’re set for. Their email is basically asking us if we want to lose £1.6k or delay completion for two weeks. Mortgage advisor did say something along the lines of the solicitors can speak to the bank directly and confirm it is closed and the closing balance. Just waiting for a callback from him to see what we can do.

I mentioned earlier in the thread (might have been in conversation with your good self- it was a few months ago), but I’m not actually buying the house on paper because I’m “newly” self-employed. It’s all in my fiancee’s name. For that reason, I haven’t officially had any direct contact with the solicitors. I’ve been emailing them from her name while she’s at work (no phone access for her during shift) and generally overseeing this for the most part, but it’s pointless me picking up the phone to them or going in because they won’t discuss anything with me because of gdpr. They’re based in Birmingham so I’d have no problem driving over and making things happen by any means necessary, but she would need to be the one to do it (or at least take the lead), and she’s just not that kind of person. @Mickyblueeyes Will 100% be taking this up with the SRA, but I fear I’ve left it too late for the threat of that to actually make a difference. Just going to do it after the fact anyway in the hope that they get their act together and it saves the next person from having to deal with the service we’ve had. Our financial advisor is going to call them first thing in the morning and hopefully make things happen.

Depending on how many more are off, it might be a case of scrapping FA cup replays. That’ll probably require the PL to pay off the FA though.

We rang again and weren’t able to speak to our solicitor. The receptionist confirmed their account details and said she’ll get the solicitor to email us the amount we need to pay. Didn’t happen. Just had a text from the seller and her solicitor has said she is waiting for something from ours still. Don’t know what. Also, they close on Tuesday for two weeks. I’m shaking with anger at the thought of not being in for Christmas.

I hate everything about the process of buying a house. We had an offer accepted on a shared ownership property in August. Bank wouldn't let on it because it had 83 years remaining on the lease. Owners had anticipated this and had already started the process of extending before it went on the market. Finally came through around 2 months ago and everything should have gone through fine from there. The entire time, our solicitors have been MIA. We've been in direct contact with the seller regarding small stuff, and we've had way more info from their solicitor through them than we have our own. They signed their contract start of last week and told us their solicitor wants to complete on the 20th. We have had to chase and chase our solicitors to try and get them to do whatever they need to do to get us ready in time because we want to be in ASAP. Our mortgage broker called this week to ask what was happening and we told them, so she called our solicitor and bollocked them. Our contract pack came through on Tuesday, which was immediately signed and sent back on Special delivery pre-9am, so they had that yesterday. We've emailed twice and the mortgage advisor has called again today, but we've had nothing back at all. We need to complete on Monday, so that means they will ideally want to exchange tomorrow, and they haven't even asked us for our funds yet. Surely they will need this in the next 2-3 hours!?? I'm more than happy to name and shame, but I don't want to get FT into trouble for slander or something.

Score predictions tonight then? COYB

The 9-0 is the joint highest win in the PL overall though. No one has won 10-0 home or away yet. Bit late now in this game but that could be taken from us one day.

Memberships haven't sold out. It's only the Membership+ that came with a gift pack, as they ran out of those.
-
Same. Pleasantly surprised (but selfishly disappointed) it seems like it’ll sell out at all STH.

Not returning until Sunday then? Or taking a connecting flight home?
