Feels like a lot of recency bias with all the Maddison love. He’s shown his quality and is great form right now, but until he scored at Brentford in late October, there was an awful lot of slagging him off as he hadn’t had a goal contribution since last February. He’s definitely worthy of being in the discussion for Player of the Season, but I can’t see how anyone can say he stands out as the clear pick, or that he has “carried” us.

I really don’t understand how people can make so much noise in the concourse and go silent in the stand. I’ve heard the argument that it’s the lads that go for a beer pre match that want to sing, then they get split up with seating allocations and get diluted by the coach 1 massif, but it doesn’t fly. Surely even the guys that want to make a noise but aren’t sure of themselves enough to start something should still be itching to join in and belt out any song the instant they hear it? Is it really that they just want to make a noise for Snapchat and don’t give a toss when the phones are away? I know that can’t be the case for everyone under the age of 25 but what the hell is it?

Just paid 178.9p for diesel at Tesco. Got to £45 before I realised how much it was and nearly threw the pump handle to the ground. Even BP down the road was 165p. Food, warmth and shelter isn’t far off becoming a luxury that me and millions others can’t rely on as a given.

This was my first game but I don’t remember any of it (I was just turned 4 😂) The next games I went to were at the Walkers against Palace (1-0) and Wimbledon (4-0). Both within a few weeks of each other and must have been 02/03. I remember Dickov scored 2 penalties against Wimbledon and I was disappointed the next few visits that that wasn’t the norm.

Well I’d have thought you’d be doing burgers, sausages, etc on a barbecue. And you could air fry the drumsticks to keep all the moisture in, then char them for a bit more flavour. If you’re having a BBQ just to do chicken, then you will have already proved yourself not bothered by how much faff is involved for the food you want

I haven’t got one of these but when it’s bbq time couldn’t you air fry them then bang them on the bbq for 5-10 minutes after for the Smokey char?

There’s a pagoda out the front of our house that I hate but aren’t allowed to remove because it’s on communal property and is technically owned by the HA. Wish I’d had the foresight to get the saw out and make some strategic cuts to it ahead of today.
