If this game goes ahead- which I doubt- it’ll be the day before the funeral: even more of a ballache to get into London I expect. -
National day of mourning, but not a bank holiday.

Huw Edwards fronting BBC now wearing black tie.

Family are still on the way. If today is the day, they’re going to tell us she was surrounded by family regardless of how true it is. Wills is still an hour away so no news before 3pm.

Edit: Just seen the breaking news and this one now seems poor taste

I’m sure the commentator said they’ve never scored 5 in the top flight in their history. So 4 is presumably a rarity.

Could hear the boos from Fosse Road just now. Hope Top heard them too.

Nice. Tickets won’t go on sale until about 6 weeks before the game. Post on here at that time and you’ll have plenty of people happy to buy tickets on your behalf. You could buy an international membership each (to effectively guarantee tickets in your own names) but I’m so confident in the above that it’ll be $100 down the drain. -

Many drinking in central London before this one? -
Literally the worst away end I’ve ever been in. We couldn’t get one song going. A few hundred joined in with their ‘Sacked in the morning’ and singing Iverson’s name after the game. Total Doggo. Stockport’s atmosphere was immense and puts every single PL club to shame. They literally didn’t stop bouncing from before kick off to after it. Even at HT they were making more noise than the KP has done in 5 years. Not an exaggeration.

Yeah I’m barely interested at all atm for lots of reasons. Real life hasn’t been great this year which has put things in perspective and made it difficult for football to be an ‘escape’. Also Leicester have been reallly uninspiring to say the least. It seems really entitled or spoiled to say, but given that we still have BR after that defeat to Forest as well as the 16 months now if piss poor performances, it feels like we as a club have zero footballing ambition for the first time in a long time. The ‘match day experience’ is everything that I hate about modern football. Looking at the bigger picture as well, all these big games that seem to be the same match ups every year are completely uninspiring. And every super club is so unlikeable. Why would I want to watch Liverpool vs Barca or Chelsea vs PSG or United vs Spurs? It’s not a 1-2 times a decade event any more because they’re all so far ahead of the Ajax’s and Celtic’s of the world. And I have no soft spot for any of them. They can all go toss each other off as much as they like in their closed shop. By that I mean the money they have stops them from going anywhere and it’s boring. Look at United. They haven’t achieved anything for ages, but they are keeping up because of the money they bring in. It’s not even like they’re being bankrolled by a sugar daddy. They’re too big to fall away and it shouldn’t be like that.

Would really love to see Forest play the opening game and lose, then stay on the bottom of the table all season long. Always within 3 points of 17th but never getting them when they need to But honestly they’re an okay side and will pick up at least 30 points, maybe a lot more. If they avoid an awful start, they should be fine. Worse teams than them have come up and stayed up. As for us, I expect nothing of interest to happen all season tbh. Which isn’t the worst thing. It’ll make it more special when we do storm up the league and get European football again. God knows when it’ll be but I hope we’ve got another few top six finishes in us before this golden era is truly over.

We’d have probably lost with a decent ref, but this guy was absolutely horrendous. Not saying he’s been bought but he did not want us to win.

I haven’t been to a game since before Christmas because of funds but it was easy to justify sending a small amount to you guys. Love the tifos. Would love to be able to support you more.

Shitting hell. Forest could be a PL club in about 1 week and 2 hours.

Hard to say how many would be needed. There may have been a higher than normal amount available last year as people didn’t want to risk catching covid. But then it’s been a pretty uninspiring season. Also cost of living is going to make it unaffordable for a lot. The other thing is that basically everyone will have more points now. It’ll be somewhere around the 35-45 point mark I expect but it’s anyones guess really. -
My fiancée left me this week after 4 years. It’s all my fault. I can’t come back from this. I reached out today for counselling. Hope the mental health support isn’t as bad as they say it is in this country else in ****ed.

So they planned out to have an A-Lister assault someone and then celebrate that person with supposedly the biggest honour in their world? I know (think?) you’re just playing devils advocate, but the logic is bad. It will probably amount to nothing, but the likelihood for ‘The Academy’ to come out of this looking very, very bad is way too high.
