...what about the reckless oaf that has caused the injury!!! How much time does he get, does he continue to play while your team is down to 10 men?
-
...the tech is good, but the implementation is the problem!!! There have been so many poor and unbelievable decisions, that it is bordering on corruption.
-
...in the last clip, right at the end, you can see two Leicester players looking for the cutback whilst the Leeds players had all rushed to the near post to suffocate any balls coming across their 6-yard box!!! A cutback would have allowed either of them to have squared the ball to an unmarked Fatawu, who had the goal all to himself. Maresca has simplified the game, you hear the players saying the same thing about his coaching, and why they choose to ignore these basic things escapes me. It is not something that needs months and months to correct, it just needs a word from the coach to put it right. You now have to question, what are the coaches and match analysis seeing?

...I have to say, this is naive...!!! It is synonymous with the club (both tragedies).

A third of the season gone - your thoughts?

...to be honest, a lot of the positions in the team have been simplified!!! He may be able to adopt and give us more than he has shown previously. I am sure he was the player using the third-man running ploy which had him bearing down to the opposition's goal. He failed to finish, but it was the most effect that he had looked for a long, long time. Casadei's performance made me feel even Praet in that position would have been more effective. -

...a lot of posters calling for Daka to come in, but if Vardy struggles, and it has nothing to do with his age, then Daka will struggle!!! Gent has a class player (Gift Orban) who plays for them, he can't get a kick as the style of play is the way we build attacks and I suspect he thinks to himself, where do I fit into these passes being played around me? The style of play is the problem for both Daka and Orban, it is not a good fit, they will both have to change the way they approach the game or they will sink into their frustration. I wonder if Daka has gone to Maresca and asked him, what does he want to see from him? Would he even suggest dropping to U21s to put a new style of play to the test and see if he can bring it into his game? Training almost every day and then not playing at the weekend must be soul-destroying, the only comfort is the money going into the account. -
...if you are at the byline and the defence is now a yard away from the keeper, they have to be, to cover the space for a potential tap-in!!! where an attacking player should be, would be around the penalty spot. The defenders are already crowding the 6-yard box.

Leeds post match thread - 0-1 loss

...it was as if we were made for Leeds!!! Their forward line is pretty impressive and needed to be watched all the time, we were reluctant it seemed to commit too much and take our eyes off the threat that they posed in the transition. Not giving the support to the wingers or at least being an option, choked off a lot of the threat we normally posed other teams. It was noticeable that our best moment led to them getting in on goal, where Faes came and put in the tackle of the season to prevent them from scoring. Perhaps a team with a conventional style might be their downfall, there will be 2 fullbacks always in place and it will be how their forward line deal with being restricted by defenders who are a constant presence when they have the ball. -
...I have suggested that previously, with his skillset, and he does have awareness!!! The #8 role is more disciplined and I do not think it would suit him with the way he approaches the game. Akgun is more suited, I believe he can unlock defences with his choice of pass, and awareness, and would be a good foil for KDH
-
...yeah but Brendan Rodgers is nowhere near the vicinity of Belgium, now he is closeted in the bussom of the green half of Glasgow!!!
-
...would you say he is mobile enough to be the #6!!!
-
...not even going to think about that, We are not going to be down there at the end of the season!!! We have had a bad season so far, and are still 2 points away from 10th.

...we have managed to get over the line in a few games where we have not played well!!! We are on a run so far where we have what seems like a fatigue problem, we will have to wait until the Middlesborough game to see how we perform, but we seem to be off it at the moment, physically and mentally. The way we play and the amount of games we have played in a short space of time, has taken a toll. -
...all of that seems to have gone out the window!!! The only player that I have seen who gets in a good position and delivers a ball where he has thought about it is Ndidi. The wingers can't, they should be creating multiple chances for incoming #8s but they struggle to get anything of worth for us to capitalise on. The assessment from @StriderHiryu at the start of the season was for us to look out for the ball from the byeline and cut back for attackers in the box. We are not seeing it at the moment, balls are being played across the face of the goal where inevitably they are blocked. They are both predictable, need to do a trick or something whilst in the box, far too easy to read.
-
...our system is designed for just this purpose!!! If we are not prepared to commit players forward, we change the formation where we then do not become reliant on players holding back, incase we are countered.
-
...we are still seeing these half hearted challenges and not doing from goalside, it should have stop by now, this is our third season!!! Rose made a challenge by sticking a leg in and waving it about, another Leicester player came to help and we still could not stop the Liverpool player, who played their man in, goal. Taking the ball on their wrong foot constantly, Thibaut had control, and was composed, Bott was our best player again and Howard did what she did. There is a lot of players letting down their team mates with half hearted attempts to make a pass and causing us more problems instead of taking some responsibility when on the ball.
-
...just coming to post that Missy Goodwin needs to come away from playing wide and she scores!!! I still do not see her out wide is beneficial, she can finish, but has no pace to get in behind defenses, with balls played over the top.

...would love to see Wormleighton back in the team!!! As we do not use Fullbacks in the traditional sense, it will be difficult to encorporate him in the way that we play. He previously played as a winger and I wonder if there could be an opening for him right there. To get through to the first team he will have to excel and I can't see Petty being enlightened enough to bring him through as a winger. If we maintain the way we play under Maresca, Wormleighton is not going to fit, long term. -
...it looked in from behind, and not too sure from this angle!!! It was a double movement from the keeper where he had to complete the save with his other hand.
-
...I thought to an extent we do anyway, although with Vardy and Nacho dropping so deep it is ineffective!!! We cannot rely on the wingers as our natural goal threat, they both do not produce, they flatter, but do not produce. So far McAteer seems to be the only one to have a proper effect with the scoreboard. I think Cannon will be used as an old-style forward, his heading ability will be what I believe gives us the numbers that we need. We are not too effective in the last third with the ball on the floor, so we will keep doing what we are doing and play to his strengths.
-
...he does an excellent job for the team in that position!!! I would rather have him up the pitch occupying the opposition's defenders, with Wilf and another player taking up the position.
-
...Garcia is in the stands watching this game, he knows he has his work cut out!!! The game was pretty even, Westerloo just shading it until the penalty and after they got their second goal, they played like a team possessed. They chased every lost cause, defended their lives and were pretty impressive compared to OHL who could not get going, struggling to find a way through. Suphenat looked composed on the ball, always looking to be positive always aware of others he could use. Misao looks pretty much the same way, always wanting to do the right thing, composed and positive in whatever he does. Maertens coming on as a sub needs to stop, as they need him to start, he seemed frustrated whilst on the pitch but he was playing in a team which was previously much better than they are now. The players tried to the end, and never gave up, but this would have been for the new manager as well as the one that was taking his last game in charge.
-
...I would say apart from the Sunderland game he has been right off it!!! This is not about a learning curve, even if you are not at the best then you are going to put a lot of effort in to show that you want the opportunity. The Leeds Fullback last night is 17 years old, up against a Player 8 years older and he contained him. For all the talk of bringing him here, you are not going to expect the lacklustre performances that we have seen. He won trophies (Golden Boot and Golden Ball) for his performance in the U20 World Cup tournament in 2023, he is no baby.
