Im not Marti out but you got to wonder who actually benefits from the system we are playing with the inverted full back. Pereira - Benefits maybe due to not having to run as much but he was at one point one of the best right backs in the country. Surely he prefers the traditional right back position Hamza - Not a right back/not a creative midfielder. Does not fit the role Vesty - Benefits the most as his greatest asset is passing. Very worrying that the system benefits one of our worst players the most. To add to this, likely a reason why Okoli/Nelson aren’t getting game time which further makes the system baffling Faes - See Vesty Thomas - doesn’t know whether to attack or defend. Not really a LCB. Barely is even a LB Wingers - Main strength of the team but get completely isolated with no full back to help out Strikers - overcrowding in the middle means harder to find space. Also suffer from slow build up play and lack of chance creation

When will people realise this is solely due to Rudkin and Top. Managers have come and go but one thing has always remained constant. Its poor management from the top. We are essentially a shitter version of Man Utd

I guess the bottom line is we have been shite and are 5th. You would hope with more time (and bearing in mind he had little pre season) that performances would improve. Having said that Enzo said the same and we got worse I think the biggest problem I have with Marti which has been echoed above is the team selection. We clearly want to get Faes out so why not play Okoli/Nelson. Same argument should apply to Vesty as well.

Needs to stop trying to think he’s Enzo with this inverted full back rubbish. Play with overlapping fullbacks that can help our wingers and not isolating them

Agreed with mediocre in terms of performance but not in terms of points. We are in play offs and will likely still be (or just outside) even if we lose. A poor start if we draw is just not true
