Then seems to be surprised that those players essentially downed tools and helped create the situation we are in now. If he had everything he wouldn’t be playing for us in the Championship. You’ll have loads of whopper comments in here but the statistics don’t lie he’s currently the best shot stopper in the league and as he matures and develops the other sides of his game will come on. Goalkeepers don’t peak until they reach late 20s into their 30s.

Never mind anything else just playing Jordan James consistently out of position is a sackable offence in itself.

The players who have let him down most this season are players where there were other options. Page was playing regularly when we were 3rd btw, since we’ve gone to playing James as the number 10 we’ve not looked anywhere as good and James should have been played deeper, that’s where he looks most dangerous and scores goals from. He said he wanted a team that worked hard and pressed and we’ve not been that for ages, funnily enough when the likes of Winks and Faes have been brought back in. There’s zero excuses for how bad we’ve been as a football team recently. It’s not acceptable to go 2 down in 5 minutes at home and the writing has been on the wall for a while. We need to have more energy and aggression and he should have played Nelson and Page more than he has so far. The rest of Aluko, Thomas and Evans for me aren’t what’s needed now. Soumare/James/Page would have been my middle 3.

Sorry not having that. Anyone with any sense in football was aware that we weren’t gonna keep the likes of Bilal and Wilf in the Championship. Marti has pure bottled it, he gave it big ones in the summer about how if a young player was good enough he would give them the opportunity, Ben Nelson spent all season putting in good performances for Oxford, he came back pre-made stick me in the oven M&S meal and he went back to Wout Faes. He had Louis Page playing solid football for us, he signed a new contract and he was out the side. He’s been playing our best central midfielder as a number 10 and not utilising him the best he can. He’s just not a very good manager, there’s obvious things he’s should have done and hasn’t done, put his faith in players that are known to be shirkers and bad attitudes and it’s done him here.

Personally think he did a very good job at Blackburn in the championship. Was impressed by them when we were last in the league and think it was harsh for him to get the boot from Sweden after 4 games considering Isak carries them and spent the whole of pre-season holding out for a move and was unfit during his tenure.

A lot of our players are genuinely embarrassing. The effort levels from some in the squad is appalling and they have zero resilience. Then to top it off, the captain on the night just puts the ball into our own net so that Southampton can get a corner in. It’s just bad optics and this squad need to grow up.

As much as I will be glad to see Ben play if he’s included tonight, for me that really cements that Marti hasn’t got a clue what he’s doing as he should have been given opportunities before now and he’s gonna throw him into a game against the team that’s 2nd in the division, cold. This is a desperate attempt to stay onside with the fan base.

All well and good looking threatening but he got in the way of Vestergaard’s header that was going in the bottom corner and he missed chances he had to score.

He could include Aluko, Okoli, Nelson, Page and Evans. He doesn’t need to be rolling out the likes of Faes, Soumare and Daka. There is no attempt from him to progress this football club by blooding youth, he resisted playing Monga for as long as he could and the lads a generational talent FFS.
