McAteer is good and seems to be a great lad but for the money and pure profit it would make sense to sell him, Monga can play off both feet so could go either side and we have about 5 others who can play out wide. This is the sort of sale better ran clubs than ourselves do, get a nice sell on clause and replace with other resellable assets, have to imagine it would open a few more chances for someone like Alves who is marti has said will be more involved this season

Later in the window imagine Hackney gets more likely to take a ‘lesser’ side, his prem opportunities all seem to have fallen through, similar to Brownhill, could see either going to Ipswich on deadline day

Makes sense for everyone involved tbf, he is our best creative player but for 30m we can find multiple other options and we do recruit well when we aren’t scouting premier league years on sky. Think he needs a couple years as a rotation option which he will get at palace. Go grab Rego and Brownhill for next to nothing and this looks way way better, I’d do BEK for 30m +Brownhill+Rego

£32m is a cracking deal for our level, similar to Barnes and Maddison prices on what he could be. Take it, keep Fatawu and spend 10 of it in a few loans and a permanent for a few mids and a striker, 10’s are far more common than a good striker or 6 imo

Think we have to have learnt that this shape does not do any favours for Vestegaard and he can’t start, reason he did well for Enzo was for counters he was essentially in the middle of a three so didn’t have to cover as aggressively, he’s just so exposed right now, has to be two of Faes/Nelson/Okoli
