  1. If we do Tolaj or Wareham and bring him in as a backup on a cheap short term deal I wouldn’t be furious, clearly need some depth up top
  2. All of the evidence suggests he has a very fit team, and none of the criticism I’ve seen has stemmed from his sides being unfit or not pressing, it’s the in the ball stuff. There is enough wrong with him without making stuff up, just because things aren’t good doesn’t mean the sky is falling and every single aspect of Martin is horrible and shit. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone by winter but would also not be surprised if we got promoted and did alright season after, think the Prem is where he reaches his limit which is a way away at any rate- I don’t think he’s underachieved in the EFL before. Don’t like the appointment but I am not just going to write him entirely off before he’s even met his squad
  3. Promotion and 2/3 new signings looking like they’ll be top level in the champ next year and about 2/3 of the academy kids breaking the first team and becoming undroppable will do for me. No hope the board goes just get back into the Championship and reset the squad
  4. Would rather Meslier than Bazanu, least Meslier has had some moments
  5. Telegraph says the first offer has been rejected but they think we will find a deal soon, hopefully means we are driving the price up a little bit or asking for a large sell on
  6. His sides tend to score a lot(and concede a tonne too) so at least it’ll be high scoring I guess
  7. Going to start scheduling this post on a yearly cycle for this date
  8. Tbf with those could see Joseph, Braybrooke, Page, Alves, Briggs and Evans all doing fairly well in Martin’s set up, maybe Aluko too if he goes with a back 3. Sort of players he uses are in their style, Evans especially could be the Armstrong of this side
  9. It’s going to be posturing isn’t it, feels like more than a coincidence that this comes out hours after our supposed interest in the fish bloke. Think it’ll be regarding the terms of his contract etc
  10. Think we sign Smallbone on a free if Martin comes in
  11. It’ll either be Martin has agreed terms or it’ll be backtracking from that rumour, no other update exists at this point after what he has said recently. Hate how much this matters and how painful it has been made, it’s never ending nightmare supporting this club, we can’t even enjoy the off season
  12. My West Ham mate is very fond of Bilic, would be better off with him than a few, I just really don’t want Martin or Rowett
  13. Hopefully waiting for Blackburn to go for Ismael and leave us as Challinors only option- we can dream
  14. I wouldn’t be upset with him at all but feels way too creative for our lot
  15. Can’t disagree with any of this. Regardless of opinions we have it all does circle back to the completely embarrassing ownership and running of the club, all roads lead to the same destination
  16. Deals like that should at the very least have 50% sell ons and bonuses based on appearances for the club taking the youngsters based on the level of the appearances, or else it really does discourage producing young English talent for anyone but the big 6
  17. Could be his agent circulating interest to try to push an offer through from another interested club? That would be nice
  18. True, I was moreso going for the angle of being able to produce the talent more now, as I see 4/5 youngsters who could be those types coming through. The above post about it being 14m a year was something I wasn’t necessarily aware of but also when I say our use I mean moreso the opportunities to use the space to create income. Through my work for example I know Arsenal make a large amount of money creating and selling renewable energy at theirs, and there is ample space for us to do this, we could also look to rent out sections of it, sell Belvoir and move the women’s team in too etc. However at 14 a year is not an easy number to reach tbf, but as much of a nightmare as that is I do think we have had many chances to mitigate the cost slightly and seem to have chosen not to do anything at all
  19. Don’t completely agree here, although it is very frustrating realistically it’ll be the top 1% who get swooped like this, we are still producing a massive amount of sellable talent, even if Motsi, Monga and Page do go we still have millions in talent and it may be the only thing that saves us from the completely inept running of the club especially with transfers. Guys like KDH, Barnes, Chilwell who were not massively rated made millions for us, as long as we can keep some of the guys who are a level below the Motsi’s and Monga’s at that age I think it’ll end up being worthwhile in that regard. Main issue I have with seagrave is more the way we have used it and haven’t taken advantage of the opportunities it presents
  20. Think for me I just desperately wanted someone with a bit of versatility for once, so if we do move on or they move on we won’t be scrambling for a ‘new version’ of the old manager, which I don’t think tends to work out unless you are a top top level team. It’s how we we ended up getting relegated from the Prem twice over
  21. Martin mate, it was at the end of one his articles that Blackburn were interested in Martin and his Sunday story with regards to us was that he was pretty much through the door- his exact words are ‘Blackburn having Martin on their list but Leicester being well down the line for him’. Would add I didn’t ask specifically about Martin just what the Leicester story was and that was his response
  22. I hope so but could also just be that we are pretty irrelevant for most mainstream journos as we are League one, fingers crossed
  23. I asked in his comments and he said Blackburn were interested but we are ‘way down the line’ for him
  24. Alan Nixons story for us today was that we are close to finalising Martin
