  1. Tbf with Saturday we were off the back of a win and a clean sheet for the first time in almost a year, would’ve been odd to choose the next game to change our pairing at the back. This week makes the most sense for him to be starting
  2. Think it’s moreso better players improve a team but a good player surrounded by negativity and nervous players is more likely to underachieve. Jack Clarke was the best winger in the league, as was Philogene, neither have torn up trees at Ipswich which is higher pressure than their previous clubs
  3. Okoli, Nelson and Daka may be the mentally slowest so a proper win win there
  4. Think it’s got to the point of pure apathy tbh, do agree that we need to give it both barrels but during the 90 I understand the need to just distract yourself rather than have that disgusting shit pushed into your face
  5. Haha have not had the chance to read through other reactions and assumed he would be given a bit of a free pass, my bad, not trying to pile on and do believe he has a good future but just tragic today
  6. Throw it out there, Nelson is a massive reason we lost today, was awful
  7. Think Richards is out of contract, wouldn’t be shocked if the loan was to get a proper look at him before potentially bringing him in rather than for him to play much this season
  8. Winks was good when he came on. Him and Mukasa off the bench killed the game off, having actual on the ball quality for the last twenty or so minutes made a massive difference. If you can’t see what Winks brings to the table you are blinkered by how much of a prat he has been
  9. Think we are going to be a lot better away than at home for the rest of the season, Rowatt sets up very defensively and our home crowd (rightfully) is on edge constantly especially when we don’t have the ball which I do think bleeds onto the pitch. Gonna be very tricky for us to stay up, next three you’d want 5-7 points realistically and I just do not see it
  10. Wrote a paragraph but actually cba, we are shite, relegated and going out of business
  11. way we defend under Rowatt we would just end up trapped in- he is crap but Daka has been challenging for headers and running in behind in a way I don’t think anyone else in our squad can, and you have to play to the system even if it means leaving out talented starters. I could see Mukasa moving out to the left and drifting inside, against Boro at time we had a staggered 3-3 in attack, Mukasa and Mavididi up with Daka and slightly to the left as the 3, and then Reid kind of dropped in to rm to form the 3 in the middle. We could do that and have Mukasa/James drop off and have the other up with Fatawu and Daka, but you’d lose a winger
  12. His issues wouldn’t show up on those stats because he just makes random brain farts every week, aside from that he is a very decent player for this level- his ball playing is poor, so is Nelson in the air and Vestegaard at generally moving, all three can be forgivable if they function in a winning team which they all can, I truly believe
  13. Needs to improve aerially, he misjudges a lot of headers and heads them sideways and backwards which brings pressure onto us, also noticed two occasions where he ran into the back of another of our players and one of the two came away limping- needs to be more assertive. Having said that he is a top talent
  14. Beg them to let him come back next year on another loan if we survive, unless he gets prem attention it could be done
  15. Absolutely won’t take 7 wins to survive from 12, we are two back from West Brom and 4/5 from the rest, and I doubt they all win half of the games left. Think 4/5 wins and a few draws is more than enough
  16. Encouraging, away at 2nd and we could very easily have won that- same 11 for the weekend but drop Mavididi, Reid on the left to help Thomas and Fatawu on the right
  17. I am encouraged but it really doesn’t bode well how much the teams around us seem to be picking up right now
  18. I’m so tired of watching Okoli do this once a week
  19. For Luke Thomas 😂😂 rather leave him on crocked
  20. No Ayew or Luke Thomas is a very good start
  21. Home game a few years back, my mate say Sheffield United but I am not so sure, saw a young lad who’d clearly had a couple too many doing anti Leicester chants on the main road past the holiday inn next to the ground get knocked out in the most brutal one punch way outside soar point watched a lad jump off the bridge into the river after a match saw someone have a heart attack before betting at goodison a few years back in that park outside their ground Derby away as a maybe 13 year old got put in a headlock by police and dragged away from the station, could not for the life of me tell you why most shocking of all, I watched Luke Thomas play pro football
  22. Just going to throw out there that I haven’t been massively concerned throughout this whole ordeal, now I am. I don’t mind our appeal but I do feel that we wouldn’t have done so if the prem had left it be, and if they haven’t, there will be a reason for them to have not. We all love to characterise them as these petty illogical nuisances but realistically if they have appealed there will be grounds for an appeal, and in our current position and financial position I really don’t think we survive relegation and don’t see how this doesn’t end up as bad or worse than it already is, and I am not ready to kiss this club goodbye
  23. Lost sight of where we were for a second, he’ll be great for us down there next year you are dead right
  24. He is an 8 but isn’t quite there yet as it stands to be playing there in competitive minutes at this level. I’d be giving him minutes in the attacking midfield role and loaning him into League one at the end of the season for 6 months specifically to play the 8 role
  25. Do think the 3 are fairly close together at the current moment and that the other two probably have significantly more potential. Having said that Page looks extremely raw, and Monga has fallen off a cliff lately (albeit has been doubled up on). Same time, Aluko I would say seemed to get targeted vs Southampton, and held his won pretty well. The penalty wasn’t ideal but as easy as it was to get into the position for the foul, I have genuinely no clue what Okoli is even thinking to dive in like that. That should have been a half chance, not a penalty. I’d have Aluko starting here on out beside Lascelles when he is back, I would be rotating Monga and Page would be a back up for the 10 role until he develops enough to be back in the 8, which I think is his natural position. Aluko could also give us the flexibility to go from a 4 at the back to a 3 pretty easily, and from his interviews Rowett values the positional flexibility highly and likes to start players with adjustment in mind, think out of the 3 he is most likely to give Aluko trust.
