Sign James and resell if needs be would be ideal. Think we will have enough to put together a competitive L1 side, but our incompetence in the market will be the big obstacle

At this point what are we protecting Ramsey and James from, start both and if they get injured they get injured, least they are young and attack minded

Think our sales will cover player expenditure and will leave us a little to spend, I’m less worried about that and more so about who they will waste our money on this time. Those rules do not include expenditure on things like our training ground which I would imagine alongside relegation clauses and players going on a free will leave enough room to at least function as a club. Have noticed there is a very specific subsection of older lads who get geared up in the Kop and absolutely can not control their emotions. No massive Reid fan but yes it really is, over 46 games that is just under ten goals which is a decent return. Find me 12 other players in his role that match that and we can call those stats average for the league. Can not wrap my head around the hatred for him in particular, signed on a free, not as if he was a massive issue in making other signings, if we had signed well rather than spending 35m on Ayew and Skipp he would’ve been a stable squad option for a survival side, and is certainly an alright squad option in the championship. He has not even been close to our worst this year, if he was called Boberto Reidinho I bet some of the spackers on here would love him, for the record he is pretty crap but is not even close to our biggest issue. Say it too often but at least he tries, would take him over Steph Maviwanky 10 times out of ten

26+ years ago, come on mate, you must know that is just absolutely not applicable to the modern game. It’d be the same as asking for a 325 in that era as it worked in the 60’s

Hopefully if we do use him it’ll be alongside Daka, so the centre halves can’t just follow him through into midfield every time without a care in the world. Honestly I think I’d be tempted to start him over Mukasa as he seems to have lost that initial confidence he had

Tbf I think our performances of late merit more than they have, should have beat Preston, Watford, Wednesday comfortably off the top of my head based on the games. Do think we win at least 1 more this year, we just have to stop this habit of shipping really silly goals when we score and only defending for a full(ish) 90 when our attack can’t be arsed

Think we get 3/4 out of the next two, then 1/3 out of Millwall and Hull. Puts us around 4-7 points and I think it’ll be 7/8 to survive. Sorry everyone, it’s going to be painful and go down to the wire, no one is going to just put us out of our misery

Agree with this- lack of skill does not equal lack of effort and vice versa, players can be our better performers and lack effort, which in the first place is why we went down initially. Skipp and Okoli at least give it a go, would rather a side of limited triers than the lot we have now, look at Charlton, who in their first team breaks ours and improves us, maybe one or two

Think he’s the type that makes his partner look really good, Okoli hasn’t done anything massively stupid since he has started and I think it’s very telling
