  1. He’s better than Ward and Iversen that’s for sure
  2. I’d be tempted to sell Mads too if needed. We could easily pick up a decent goalkeeper on the cheap.
  3. He’ll go to a club who will find themselves in the same situation in 12-24 months. The top teams won’t take him, a foreign team can’t afford him, so it’ll be a Brighton, Fulham, Bournemouth etc.
  4. Remember Brendan throwing a hissy fit after the Brentford game, having used no subs, saying the club hadn’t backed him, knowing full well what the situation. While his media mates said the same thing. Then didn’t have the guts to walk away because he wanted his pay out. I just clenched my fist in the office thinking about it.
  5. The manager hates Rudkin anyway, it would galvanise them if anything. The club needs liberating.
  6. Just giving it a watch now. It was great wasn’t it. Properly good stuff and hopefully a turning moment in this crazy race.
  7. And the supporters do actually have a responsibility here. If there are not large scale protests against Rudkin, then the fans deserve everything they get.
  8. If you watch the one from the other day, he completely misjudged it and basically went head first towards the ball. I’d imagine there must be a technique thing involved.
  9. This is basically what happened in Premiership rugby (albeit on a much smaller scale). Players leave for pastures new or clubs go bust.
  10. You know what I also hate about this sport. Sheffield United sold their two highest earners and ‘best players’ before the start of the season to avoid this situation, and were subsequently mocked, laughed at and called unserious. They were basically on a hiding to nothing regardless of what they did.
  11. Getting in the champions league would’ve only hastened the demise. Newcastle were in the UCL this season and are also screwed.
  12. I was nervous about the end of the season but the feeling tonight is that I genuinely don’t care anymore. The sport and club are toxic and corrupt. What is there to love about the ‘beautiful game’?
  13. Just a £210million loss for Chelsea over the past two years. Let's see what happens there.
  14. And people confusing ffp stringencies with the owners having no money. Ours are loaded and we’re in trouble, Forest’s is loaded from his dodgy shipping trade, Newcastle have infinite amounts of money yet are in trouble with these rules.
  15. They’re very much teetering on the edge judging by their financial results from the other day.
  16. Southampton should also be on this list. They’re very close.
  17. And this is exactly why it's stupid. I don't like the idea of buying your way to success but the very idea that Newcastle are putting their club's existence in danger by spending is crazy.
  18. I notice the Tigers CEO has been all over the media explaining to fans why prices have gone up on season tickets etc (aka taking responsibility). Forest also have good comms when it comes to this sort of stuff. We on the other hand, are basically in a footballing equivalent of Putin's Russia in the sense of 'we'll make your life as a fan easy, provided that you never question us'.
  19. It is all a bit of a mockery though. Man City and Newcastle both are owned by people who have literally infinite amounts of money, so what's even the point of sustainability rules for them? It also makes me wonder how long the likes of Villa, Wolves etc can go on for, and how on earth someone like Bournemouth can be fine given their fanbase size?
  20. Rodgers and Rudkin should be in prison, honestly.
  21. If he went, it'd be nailed on that we'd end up with Potter surely. Personally, I'd like to see him bring in a few players and see what he can do.
