I think it was immediately rolled out that he had a gambling problem whereas that wasn’t initially a thing with Toney. Gambling is a weird one, obviously a very destructive form of addiction but you’ve got to wonder if their clubs have been looking after these guys as well as they could? I think it would be better to frame bans as rehabilitation. The education also needs to be better, a footballer shouldn’t be touching cocaine for example, and you probably need to get in there earlier with gambling. Oh and sack off all of the gambling advertisement.

To be fair I’d rather have our young lads dealing with their stress on the golf course than in the bars and clubs of Leicester several nights a week like some of the squad last season.

MP’s will have always abused their power. Hell the PM in the early 70’s supposedly has a few skeleton’s in his closet. Thankfully we hold these people to a higher standard now and give justice a chance.

I think one of the reasons for the confidence is that Enzo’s system is basically foolproof against much poorer sides. Like you’re going to need incredible luck (a lucky goal then us to miss loads aka Hull but Hull are far better than QPR) to beat us if you’re in a position like QPR.

The almost irresistible urge in elite cricket circles to immediately blame county cricket is hilarious. County cricket doesn’t make you lash out at balls in the 12th over which should be left. For me this is all about team culture. The likes of Root and Bairstow who have become far too complacent. The Stokes debacle, he should never have been called up. Playing a whole XI of players over 30, ruining the confidence of your guns like Brook, Curran and Atkinson. There will be no need to have a review or mess around with the structure of county cricket (although get rid of the hundred). It is simply time to move on players who should’ve been left behind 12 months ago. -
I think in great teams that comes in time. We may see different tactics as we head into 2024 and hopefully closer to the premier league, but firstly we need to carry on being competent at what Enzo wants right now. Tuesday proved that we're not there yet, fortunately we won but we need to show we can dominate against top teams. You'd think Sunderland will be up there, so I'd want to see progress for when we play Leeds and then Boro and Ipswich.

Probably not out, terrible camera angles. At least it gives Buttler and Bairstow somethig to complain about to distract from the horror. -

We were saying on this thread how if New Zealand or South Africa were in this position, they'd close up for 5-10 overs, consolidate and go hard at the end. Our idiots are just throwing their bat at anything or everything. -

Appalling from Bairstow. Ran Root out and then just swiping at a ball that wasn't there. Needed to be far more patient as there's 37 overs left ffs. -
Apparently a firearms instructor with severe mental health issues who had threatened to shoot up many places before. A firearms instructor with severe mental health issues. God bless America.

Everytime I see this thread at the top of the page, I'm wondering if Vingagaard's doping results have come in yet.

Newcastle probably gonna need a win at either Dortmund or PSG to go through. Amazing how they've blown the PSG win. -
Nah fair play to them, much better than any of the alternatives when you look around.

Dortmund look class. Great refereeing too. -
Funny as they looked decent until they sacked Eustace. Stupid owners.
-
Shut up please. No offence.
-
I guess it depends, if Ipswich keep pace with us and overtake us but we go up, it’s not a disaster. If anyone else overtakes us then that would be highly disappointing.
-
If he scores a few more it can give him the confidence to kick on at Premier League level. His game is there, just needs a tiny bit more in terms of being clinical.

If you compare Coady to an Evans for example, having someone like Coady at the club is such a positive. Somebody who brings energy to a room, somebody who will pick the young lads up after a defeat, somebody who sees the best in everyone. The key to the turnaround has been the attitude. The club did a great job in brining in a manager and experienced players who have the exact attitude that we've been lacking realistically since Wes started playing less and less.

They actually do get to the point which is Brendan Rodgers.
-
A proper dog mentality wasn't it, like "we've risked our lives to be here, we're gonna bloody enjoy it".
-
Irony being one of the best atmosphere's ever at the KP was the snow game against Middlesbrough with about 8k present.
-
Yunus is fit by the way.
-
This is true, in the top two tiers especially there are few good atmosphere's. Arsenal have done alright recently, and Palace behind the goal are decent but I can't think of anyone else?
