143 miles this month! Last month in my 20s so wanted to really push myself. Tough on the legs though.

Yeah that’s fair enough- I thought he was between 4-6 million.

He was the best keeper in the league before his injury and you think he won’t fetch more than 5 million.

10 miles this morning in 1 hour 30. The old man beating me by about 5 minutes in his 60s still! Unbelievable.

Vichai did nothing. It was all Pearson.

Liverpool (H) - Pre-Match Thread (20th April)
westernpark replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think in general people should support their local team. Whether that’s Coalville, Kettering, Leicester City or Aberdeen. Notwithstanding this, my initial post was talking about those fans of the big 6 from Leicester. There are obviously more nuanced connections, such as family and so on. Or people might claim to support the club after being taken to the 1997 final. -
Liverpool (H) - Pre-Match Thread (20th April)

People should support their local team. Last few games there’s been away supporters in the home end. I didn’t mind Newcastle as much because they quite clearly weren’t local. I expect the same issue at Liverpool for obvious reasons -
How can he be homesick? He’s from Welwyn Garden City

I’m renewing for this next season but that’s more to see my Dad and friends at the games. But anyone who isn’t renewing- shouldn’t be told they are abandoning the club. Club has already abandoned the fans

What do the players say in the pre-match huddle?
westernpark replied to DJW1's topic in Leicester City Forum
They probably don’t say much. They’re multi millionaires who work in a leisure resort. -
9.5 miles round Oadby and Stoneygate with a loop round the Uni. It’s absolutely fantastic seeing people who wouldn’t normally run, look absolutely buzzing after doing a park run. I hope they take that feeling into the weekend!

Reorganisation of Leicester/Leicestershire Councils
westernpark replied to davieG's topic in General Chat
I always worry about its impact on the city centre. Of course my comments are hyperbole but I try and avoid the place out of principle. Some people won’t care and just see an excellent place to shop, which is fair enough. -

Don’t ruin a dream -
Rutland and derby absolutely fine following refurb. I hate London and the notion of pubs related to the place but, it was Cool as Leicester who suggested that, not The Rutland and Derby.

I hope Fosse Shopping park becomes part of Leicester city council and it is either knocked down or they charge for parking. -
He ended up being good value for 5 million!

Make him walk both ways then he won’t want to go anymore.

Maresca is explicit in them caring for the club’s employees.

I don’t think it’s racist. Due to historic immigration, Leicester has many residents who have Asian heritage. Anyone who has spent time living in the city will tell you that many of their friends, neighbours and acquaintances who have Asian, Caribbean or other heritage do not necessarily support Leicester, because perhaps they felt it was easier to associate with clubs like Man United, Liverpool or Arsenal. This might be because the first generation of their family found it difficult to associate with Leicester when they first moved to the city, because we weren’t very good(not well-known therefore) and at the time football wasn’t a friendly place- you only have to see the recent play by the football hooligan of Asian heritage (I forget the name) to be set in Leicester, to realise how inaccessible football would have been pre 90s to people of different heritages.

Yeah that’s true, maybe I am being too harsh as Alex was so good as a landlord.
-
Yeah it definitely is good to have a treat! But I felt electric after my run yesterday, this morning not so much. Probably the booze more than anything.
-
Did a really excellent 8 miles just under 1 hour 10 yesterday(heart rate was at 145). Went out for someone’s birthday drinks last night, had an absolutely disgusting kebab on way home. Think I’ve realised to make real progress last in the running, I’ve got to knock these night outs on the head.

Leicester City and VfL Bochum - Blue and White Friendship
westernpark replied to AndWhat?'s topic in Leicester City Forum
Yeah I’ve seen stuff previously about how it was one fan who started it, almost by accident. It’s just seemingly random, rather than anything tangible. It’s great for those fans who go to Bochum I am sure. -
Leicester City and VfL Bochum - Blue and White Friendship

Good luck to both group of fans but I would like to see more information as to how we are lumbered with Bochum and they with us.
