However, I am glad the Old Horse has changed hands. The Salmon was unique in Leicester for a horseshoe bar(anachronistic certainly) but also was historic type of pub layout that needed preserving. BCA are standardising their estate. The interior of the Old Horse and its Garden, were a mess. Charming for an odd drink but held no value. As long as it is preserved as a drinking whole, no problem for me. I know it will hold some historic/social value for UFS members. As for Deano pubs. One benefit of living and drinking in the city, you don’t get those types midweek. We don’t do David Wilson homes, velvet settees and white BMWs. Unfortunately, there will be many at the football from the county tomorrow.
