Got a 50k run in July. I did 60k a few years ago. You always over estimate what you need to fuel up but in my experience I would advise people not to drink too much. The worst thing to need is the toilet on a run and your body is amazingly resilient over a day. Just wear some shoes and run.

No but a disrupted pre season can mean the players aren’t as fit as they should be, which could be impactful on that statistic when it’s taken from the whole season.

Maybe the players had a poor pre season because it’s almost like we essentially sacked the manager in April and couldn’t organise a replacement until 3 weeks till the start of the season.
