Just been listening to Simon Jordan and he was his usual twatish self, and was suggesting we've got away with it 3 times now? Can someone clear up for me what the feck hes on about? I understand we got away with no sanctions last season with the EFL and then again this season with the PL but the third time he's talking about I assume is related to the news today that we won't have charges brought for 23-24, but why is he suggesting we got away with it? We haven't actually breached for this period have we? I'm totally lost with it all. If anyone could explain in layman terms, it'd be appreciated

I agree, they can't change the rules and I'm surprised they are appealing it as it seems unlikely they will win. My point is, that we did breach PSR. The fact we haven't been charged shouldn't mean we all of a sudden have faith in the people running the club, the club is still an absolute shit show and heads should still have rolled for our failings but they just seem to brush it all under the carpet and carry on with nobody taking any kind of responsibility

Whilst I agree with you that the rules are shit and that other clubs have been doing dodgy things to get around psr, this doesn't hide the fact that our club has been terribly run for years. The likes of Brighton and Brentford have managed to stay within the rules as they are well run and have fantastic scouting systems, something we sadly don't which is why we've ended up with average/poor players on big wages which has contributed to our issues with PSR. Whilst we haven't been charged it's clear we did breach for 22/23 but got off on a technicality. Whilst you could say it was wise of the club to hire Di Marco to help get us off, we should never have been in that situation in the first place.

The PL and the EFL will be raging about this, they are absolutely desperate to do us. If we get relegated though, we know full well the EFL will try and destroy us.

Not saying we didn't do the same and we certainly did some dodgy stuff with Hirst, but we didn't get Monga from another pro club though did we? There's been a few things said on here about us being dodgy when we signed him but nobody has actually said what happened, although anyone that knows might not be allowed to say. I still think it's wrong though however that clubs spend money on their academy's and then don't actually reap the benefits as the big clubs just hoover up all the talent as a way of balancing psr in the long run.

Suppose it all depends on whether we can create more chances for ourselves than we do for Palace. We know a clean sheet is unlikely as someone will fck up and give at least 1 goal away, so realistically we need 2-3 goals minimum to win the game. Hope I'm wrong but we look so short on confidence that it a clean sheet just doesn't seem likely anytime soon with the basic mistakes we make every game.

Absolutely incredible he hasn't hooked Winks. Guys confidence must be in the gutter and he's a liability at the moment. Hope for Ruuds, Winks' and the teams sake that decision doesn't come back to bite us.

I think you'll be fighting a losing battle with this argument. He was nothing above average before the mistakes, didn't particularly do anything positive. Add the two mistakes in and it's an absolutely horrific performance that would 100% warrant being hooked at ht, for his own benefit as well as the team.

I'd say giving 2 goals away in 1 game certainly amounts to a shocking performance. If Ward gave away 2 goals but made 2 good saves, people would say he had a terrible game. Winks hasn't really contributed anything positive in this game, he's been poor. His performance without the mistakes probably would be a 5/6 out of 10. With the mistakes it's probably a 3. Dreadful.

It just highlights we have so many issues in our squad and no money to fix any of them. Right back has been highlighted as our biggest issue but I'd say the midfield is a huge problem. Winks has been appalling all season, not convinced by Soumare, Ndidi always injured and Hamza is crap. Our midfield must be one of the worst in the league. Attacking midfield we are fine with FB and BEK but the deeper midfield positions, we are truly awful.

Ruud has got to hook Winks. To assist one goal for the opposition is appalling but could be forgiven as a mistake but to assist the opposition twice is absolutely absurd. Cant think of many worse individual performances I've seen than this

I like Chair, I think he'd give us a different option on the left wing. Not sure we'd be able to afford him however and our recruitment team have probably never heard of him.
