Accidental assist is a bit harsh, I know it took a deflection but you could clearly see he was looking for Vardy with the pass so you could argue he deserved the little bit of luck. To me, an accidental assist would be if you didn't mean to pass to the person who scored, but I think he did, albeit though the help of a deflection.

We need 2-3 defenders and a right winger to replace Fatawu. Can't see us having the finances to sign too many good players on permanents but where do we stand with loans? Can we loan from abroad as i assume our prem loans are taken up with Buonanotte and Edouard?

We can't write the Newcastle game off as they aren't actually very good, especially against teams towards the bottom. Of course they have threats in their team like Barnes, Isak and Gordon but they really aren't that great and I honestly think we could snatch a draw. We can't be allowing them as many chances as we did West Ham and Brighton though.

I agree. Ruud may not necessarily be able to teach Vardy much at this stage but what he can do is set the team up to ensure Vardy has the best chance of being effective in games.

The pure delight and passion when we equalised is glorious to see. We'll never have another Vardy. The sheer passion and pride matched with his unbelievable talent will never be seen again at LCFC and it will be an incredibly sad day when he's no longer playing for us.

Given his age, change of country/culture and the fact most of the players around him are bang average at best, he's definitely got some serious potential. If we can stay up this season, keep him and get some decent players around him, he could be a serious player at this level.

Superb tonight. Commentator mentioned about him struggling to settle with him going away on international duty and not playing much which is understandable but I think we've got a real gem on our hands here once he's fully settled and gets used to the prem. Having Ndidi deeper was better tonight and really allowed Bilal to be creative when we got the ball back. Played some lovely passes and a goal and an assist was fully deserved tonight.
