I’d pretty much agree with all of this, the only thing I would say to counter it is that KDH really didn’t show us any of them things in the season we got relegated and Skipp has been playing infrequently in a team that was significantly worse and more dysfunctional. You could obviously come back on that and say the fact he still couldn’t get in a team so shit says it all, which is probably fair, but Skipp isn’t going anywhere so let’s at least give him a chance.
-
To be honest, I’m that triggered by him I’d still be fuming.
-
A plausible idea that’s for sure.
-
It’s all gone so quiet on the shirt front hasn’t it.
-
I’d rather see Begovic take a shit and leave that on the bench than see Danny Ward anywhere near the KP ever again.

Do we go into this coming season, without any new incoming players?

Even getting rid of that lot, you are saving about £15m a season in wages which, based on the last time we were in this division, means we are probably still about double the wage bill of the majority. That’s how much of a mess we are as it’s probably only this season that parachute payments bridge that gap for us. -
Bit mental this.

Gone but not forgotten and certainly not the death list

So sad, RIP Ozzy. -
Apparently Foxes1 had found the drugs cabinet.

Lucky I do not have a daughter

I’d rather have Wayne Lineker with my daughter.

Agree with this, Richard Ashcroft was brilliant and I was slagging the support off for a solid year in advance. Definitely haven’t been trying to get tickets for Wembley all day….

I find it pretty ridiculous that the leagues don’t have rules stating they need to know exactly who the directors are for any sponsor. There is probably a very good reason for that not being the case though.
-
Everyone knows we are in a weak position in this negotiation, we aren’t getting £35m.
-
True, but if he leaves on a free I recon he could get more. I wonder what West Ham are paying KWP.
-
It’ll likely come down to weighing up any offer with his value this season, but for all of the reasons you have highlighted above he isn’t going to sign a new contract on what we can currently offer and therefore will be another player that’s walking away for nothing.
-
See my posts above, he’s not likely to accept anywhere near what we can offer now so it’s in our interest to sell.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

I think there is, Kieran Maguire certainly thinks so. -
I agree that he’s a good player to have in this league and I’m sure he will stay for this season and leave on a free at the end but if we get a semi reasonable offer I think we will look to move him on. Same applies to Winks for me, and probably Luke Thomas although I suspect we get him on a new contract. You move a few of them earners on for £5m upwards and you have a some extra cash in the pot and £10m saved in wages that you wouldn’t have previously had.
-
Maybe, but I guess the point I’m trying to make is that we are more likely to be offering him £20k/£30k a week and he doesnt sign that, so we need to be selling him now.
-
Renew that £80k/£100k a week contract? Yeah why not.
-
A poor season in the Championship would mean he wouldn’t go for anywhere near what he will now, same with BEK, and that’s a huge risk for us in our situation. Sadly it’ll be the right time to sell, but will likely mean we miss his big transfer unless we put in a sell on fee.
-
This was unbelievable, well worth the money.
-
I suspect that wouldn’t earn even a fraction of what these sponsorship deals are generating and in our financial state, that’s not going to be an option.
