He’s miles above this current lot
-
He has that same nervousness and shovel foot style Amartey did when trying to play out from the back. Honestly our current CB’s make Amartey look like a top premier league defender.
-
has this sold out? Need a spare. can meet at ground or london or wherever
-
He’s not first choice to be fair. He’s a good player and would thrive with a bit more love
-
Hurts seeing him fly in the CL and not for us. Barnes was great, could never understand the heavy criticism he received, even when on good goal scoring runs. We’d kill for him now.

Club finally seems to have got something right. -
He’s that fvcking pathetic he can’t even bring a man down once they’ve gone past him. Could not believe what I was seeing on Saturday eve especially after the goal at the Hawthorns. He’s shit and he’s disinterested. Literally zero point in playing him
-
Just to challenge this, that’s one thing the club have got right over the years. The use of our academy has yielded a great return and the club have tended to put players in at the right time. It’s the classic at the moment, Nelson being overrated as he’s out of the team. Always happens!

when I said Page was miles off it v Brum I was getting it both barrels
-
if you justifiably criticise any youth player on here people lose their sh*t
-
Well not necessarily. Top level Recruitment, finances, wage structure and strategy…could all be seen basic functionalities of a CEO regardless of football/industry. I’d expect her to have a firm grip on all of those which she clearly didn’t! OK what about last years sponsor which she again would’ve been involved in? An offshore bullshit gambling business.

Absolutely abysmal
-
This is utter shit. 3 points chucked away
-
That’s egotistical from Carranza - 9 times out of 10 he just plays the easy ball back but overly desperate to impress, hasn’t seen much of the ball, tries to do too much. Faes horrific in 1 on 1 again, like WBA all over again. Thomas all over the place
-
Have we learned our lessons from Wrexham? We’ll see.
-
Said no one ever!
-
Have we ever had a player capable of taking a competent corner? Fvck me. Wow. Wrong thread
-
That is a brilliant finish
-
Disappointing to see this level of ignorance towards a horrible illness that directly affects a % of our fanbase.
-
Absolutely, everything is ready for Ramsey and Carranza. Time to deliver!
-
You’re telling me she wouldn’t have had any involvement in the appointment of the clubs first team managers? Or had any oversight of large multi year contracts being handed out? I know for a fact she has to sign off operational-related contracts (eg IT) for anything over approx 600k, so she would definitely have had involvement in player contracts. Not necessarily the playing side, but financial aspects absolutely. Even if it is just signing off her side.

Please can you show this to me?

Depends which way you look at it, all of these would fall under the remit of a CEO in a normal business. Personnel, recruitment, financial analysis, customer rapport, business strategy. If we’re excusing Whelan from all of the above wtf was she being paid to do?
-
You genuinely think Szmodics is a league one player? And you can say that with a straight face
-
Expensive, lengthy contracts awarded to overpaid players = inability to move on deadwood has lead to a terrible squad. In turn that hindered our ability to sack Rodgers, who dragged us to the championship. Completely ballsed up FFP meaning an incoming points deduction. Gambling company as sponsor this year and let’s not even talk about the previous sponsor, no lessons learnt. Poor managerial selections. Poor recruitment. Anti-supporter treatment of fans leading to a hefty divide between the fans and club/players. Whelan would have played her part in every single one of these issues, there’s no defending her.
