  1. Those home made signs, bless ‘em, they’ve used their best crayons and everything
  2. How about home to Wolves, tickets on general sale
  3. They’ve been testing the fans in the home stands to root out the imposters. “What are the words to Boing Boing”?
  4. And someone has nicked Roy Keane’s chocolate? May need to divert paramedics and police when he finds out who. I reckon it’s Dixon, go on Roy, sort it.
  5. Impressed with his shot stopping and decisions to come out off line a few times, hard to say about his passing as we wasn’t helped by being given some awfully timed back passes and also poor movement and options in front of him in 1st half particularly.
  6. Pleased for Nelson and the Keeper to be part of a clean sheet, it’s all money in the bank for their progress
  7. That lad “Trialist A” has been around for years, never did get a permanent club poor sod
  8. They used to charge a quid to watch the reserves
  9. It’s a phrase used for a guy who is just there to occasionally replace the regular starter
  10. I remember coming out of the upstairs concourse of the old Filbert Street double decker for the first time, looking down at the seats and pitch below and getting a severe case of vertigo. I was rooted to the spot, terrified, the steward happened to be our School caretaker, he held my arms and my Dad grabbed my legs and carried me shaking to my seat. I must have been what, 17, 18 , no I was 9 (still a bit embarrassing ?)
  11. Warnock “If he ( Enzo) had been on the bench tonight they wouldn’t have gone backwards like they did”. We can’t expect the panel to know every sinew of detail about us but that’s beyond naive.
  12. Conceding a late goal doesn’t hurt as much if you build a bigger lead, needed to make hay while the sun shines (excuse the tractor relevance) in that period up to half time and knock the hope out of them. Really does frustrate that when there’s the smell of blood we don’t go for it ruthlessly enough. We invited pressure at the end, players hanging deep not marking anyone which gives no danger of the offside, once you start doing that you’re inviting bodies into your box and eventually crack. Why aren’t we keeping it longer at the other end, why does it come back so quickly? Tired legs not supported early enough with substitutions?
  13. Good old OG, always dependable for a goal or two per season
  14. The mis-heard rumour makes sense now, Sheff Utd were looking to sign the Goalkeeper called Grbic not Garbage
  15. When Taylor-Fletcher left it saved us a fortune on both of those counts
  16. Testimonial ?
  17. I always envisage something similar to this clip when Man City get fined
  18. I always said that group of players had potential. Shame it peaked 15 years after retirement!
  19. Drones which intercept delivery drones and steal the package, currently being worked on by Dick Turpin's great great great Grandson.
  20. Surely marketed as "Speedie Cabs"
  21. One borrowed from the late Sean Lock:- A dog running down the street with a string of sausages in its mouth, being chased by an angry butcher.
  22. Devonshire Split (a kind of cream bun, not a yoga position)
  23. Of the bands I've got a lot of stuff by but haven't seen live:- Mercury Rev Suede Sigur Ros Secret Machines Eleventh Dream Day Bangles Robert Forster (of The Go Betweens) Come on Eavis, make a fazzyfest tent with that lot and I'll be there!
  24. One Man Band Busker type guy who would sing with big drum on his back triggered by foot pedal , harmonica, acoustic guitar, cymbals between his knees and saxophone somewhere else. Detested by the musicians union for taking six peoples jobs!
