vs Fulham Ayew tucked so far infield that when an attack broke down (often), one ball out wide and they were 2 vs 1 on Justin. He didn’t even try to come over and track Robinson who had the freedom of the pitch. Throw him on when the opposition are getting tired but from the start he’s just not at the races when it comes to being competitive. And yes Mavididi’s tracking was awful and lazy too and without the excuse of age. I would have gone for wing backs with 2 up front or with 2 no 10’s.

Start spreading the news, he’s leaving today, he wants to be a part of it, he’s going to wake up in a city that never sleeps, be a number nine……

I thought it may be to satisfy some world time zone but couldn’t see one it benefits particularly . It’s like a blindfolded chimpanzee picked a random number from a hat (I don’t mean Martin Keown making a cup draw!)

Sorry, for a moment I thought it said 7 pm on a Sunday night hang on duh, Sunday night = Countryfile, call the midwife, midsummer murders not Premier League, or any, football ffs. Almost feel sorry for the Utd fans navigating train routes back to Kent.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

We're 5 days on from the Fulham debacle, what would be new today that wasn't an issue on Monday? That would likely be the incoming transfer situation, either an argument about it or being told that next to nothing will be happening, otherwise why not leave Monday if that is the case? Maybe he's got flu and can't do the Press Conference? I don't want to hear another press conference anyway, 100% full of cliches about "maximum effort", "100%" and "trying everything" then watching them give up running back and subbing the liveliest players. -
Just realised that the game is only being moved to Sunday as Spurs have a European game tonight. With their squad paper thin, riddled with injuries and low in confidence, the travel, the pressure on Ange, us having those extra days rest could really swing the balance. Might only be 2-0 to Spurs now

Jack Grealish in “actually does something” shocker!

I wonder if Sky will even bother sending any reporter to Seagrave on deadline day? The poor so and so, I’d bring a book or three to read, he’d be better off going to Loch Ness with his camera in hope of seeing a monster. It’s like me hanging around Heathrow Airport in the hope that Kylie jets in to declare her undying love for me. After a few weekends you just face the fact it’s not happening and stop going (b**ch)!

A City Centre-half close to the man they're supposed to be marking, those were the days!

Sounds more suited to Derby County

re the concourse catering (and I use that term loosely) is it still the case that it's franchised / tendered out i.e. the club receive a set amount from the company taking it on or do they get a certain percentage as well or is it now back in their own hands? I seem to remember it being a tendering out before?

What happens during a transfer ban if players want to leave?
fazzyfox replied to Qwerty's topic in Leicester City Forum
If it looked like immediate promotion was unlikely and relegation a possibility, the thought of being away from the PL and full PL salary for 2-3 years minimum may make some look to move on. However with a still decent wage and comfortable facilities plus the idea of moving up a peg to becoming an integral player enough of the squad would prefer that to struggling to find better elsewhere. The likes of Nelson, Choudhury and MacAteer would see themselves as more likely to be more involved and whilst everyone would recognise how tough it’s going to be, enough would stay due to comfort or lack of matching offers from elsewhere. -
I have every match day Programme for the games I’ve been to. Although it’s essentially a preview I read it on the train on the way home after the match. Saturdays was full of bull about giving it all. Giving it all? What like the players strolling back as the second goal went in, not showing for the ball, not covering each other etc. I really don’t want to read or hear another word from them, all talk no substance. If I withdraw my fortnightly £3.50 it might halve our transfer budget I know but I’m tempted . Cliche cliche, 100% effort, give it all, luck will turn, bla bla waffle waffle. Maybe run?? Maybe pick our best line up and keep them on?

Rio-lly? That "reflects" on how advantageous it was to be gifted a capacity increase and in turn an increase in revenue as we watch our club come undone.

Jon Jo Shelvey (32) currently training with Burnley. The pound land Cambiasso perhaps?

He’s a water carrier who looks constantly distressed like he’s fighting fires all game, the ball is like a hindrance to him. Maybe he was seen as a replacement for K DH if not exactly the same type of player but with Winks mainly starting, Ndidi dropping back to his old DM role and then Soumare being the preferred cover for Wilfs injury, it appears he wasn’t needed and with our budgets so tight what a waste that was. It’s not like he’s got development potential either. “He’s not phased by the PL, by going away to big clubs, he knows the league” etc isn’t justification enough. I’d hoped it had something to do with having an understanding with Winks through their development together at Spurs like two pieces of a jigsaw but no. We just didn’t need him, I can’t call him a luxury but he’s like a pointless insurance policy. A RB or combined with Okoli’s fee a much better CB would have been a better use of funds or a LW. Really reeks of an agent seeing us lose KDH and do a salesman trick on us, any £25 million player should have been integral to us week in week out this season.

Re the fight and desire, I had to leg it for a bus 6 a.m. yesterday morning to start my journey up for the match, seeing Mavididi and others walking back for that second goal (what is it about Fulham and our players giving up and walking) showing less effort than I had (bad back, slippery pavement, no luxury training facility or masseur to hand), it’s just not enough, show them the footage (of the goal not me running for the bus) and ask them, “same situation next week - are you chasing back or giving up”. In fact don’t give them the option, don’t give them the shirt, what example is that to the u-21’s. Kristiansen was infield covering for someone else’s man, Traore had so much space he couldn’t believe his luck. Watching Everton and others, they want to have no regrets, put everything in, less talk more action, if I read one more of ours bleating “Do everything we can” I’ll send them Saturdays footage.

New manager bounce for Spurs next weekend?
-
I admit, it was after quite a few pints but the consensus of opinion on my table in the Kings Head on Saturday was for the club to give Shinji Okazaki a call, if nothing else it would put a smile on our faces

Worst defence we have had in the pl

Is it worth changing shape to 3 CBs or would that just be one more mutton head around to c**k up the offside line, play poor back passes, collide with team mates, drift out of position and leave runners in space? Would the extra body add a little bit more solidity (I use that word very loosely). Rather than it being one of our 4 established CBs could it be Justin with the new Right Back outside him, leaving JJ to come up with whole new ways to skew passes and leave his man in acres of space?
