We’ve got Wilf back to shield in front of the defence in central areas but out wide there’s no protection at all, I don’t want to be a Pulis all-out defence side but the full backs need help, if you want to watch the game buy a ticket don’t occupy a shirt

So much more solid with Wilf and more mobile at the back with Okoli but just so so blunt up top. 0-0 perhaps?

Like the “Premier Ambitions, Amateur decisions” one, covers a lot of what’s happening in 4 words. As for Ginetta not being sure why people are getting wound up? Does he think appointing and compensating a manager for 4-5 months work without looking at who chose him in the first place an acceptable use of budget. Does he think Eduauard was a sensible use of a loan slot and salary? Does he think it was justifiable to throw such a wedge of our budget at substitute Oliver Skipp? Does he think we really had to offer De-Cordova Reid a 3 year deal to acquire his services. It was crucial that we got the majority of decisions right. We didn’t. These aren’t external forces, they are internal decisions.

To be fair I was quite happy with some of that, the first chunk welcoming our guests and discussing the results is generic cut and paste but if he had not addressed the absence of signings he’d have gotten stick for it but he has. I would still argue that different faces and characters coming in to the dressing room, guys who haven’t lost 8 in 9 would improve our hopes even if they’re only on a par with what we already have as opposed to being a significant improvement. But then ….. he felt the need for that last sentence, you know, the bit about how we want to be in the Premier League but if we’re not right behind the team, our failure, every Faes brain fart, every time Justin drifts out of position and loses his man, every time Mavididi gives up the chase, every time Winks gives the ball away with a sloppy pass, every time Jordan Ayew does, well, nothing……..it’s OUR FAULT! That’s right, everything will be dandy if we cheer them on, problem solved!

In Cyprus our apartment reception made us hand ours in as a security deposit, we get them back once they've checked the room on departure day. I'd never heard of that before, it wasn't in the brochure T & C's and I wondered how legal it was (and if they'd spend the week running off forged copies to flog!) It was too late to argue or refuse so we handed them over. It turned out to be not as unreasonable as it seemed, a big group of English lads in their 20's, they must have seen it all before. Then when we woke on the last day we found one of our mates had gone the full Keith Moon and chucked a sofa out of the balcony window . Quite rightly the peeved hosts made us recover all the sections from the bushes below (I co-ordinated from a distance in case of snakes), hungover and in scorching heat, carry it back up the staircases and reconstruct it. We weren't like that, we were all good sorts he just claimed he had heat stroke and didn't know what he was doing. That's heat stroke sponsored by 25 pints of Cheapos Beeros. -
Let Rio Ferdinand have to play alongside Vestergaard for half an hour and he'll soon be dressed in yellow joining the protest march. And Rio, would you pay the percentage of your wage that we do to watch this, only to be served with such a pathetic line-up despite our PL status / income and then not complain? Put yourself in another mans shoes, don't just be someone who only has to think briefly about the club 3 or 4 times a season.

Have taken a moment to re-read the OP as a refresher and consider the key points - It's about re-setting, demanding change, questioning the suitability of the decision makers, questioning the accountability of the people who have got us to a position where the manager THEY appoint lasts 4 months or so, where we have another pathetic transfer window where we don't even try to become competitive or relevant in this league because our hands are supposedly tied by the poor planning of previous buys. It's concern at our direction and the inevitable destination if nothing changes. Work out your own angle, your own gripe, what would you say if interviewed about it, your point in a nutshell, remember the commitments you make to the club, the efforts that got us to where we were, the good peoples work and determination compared to this current s**tshow. My "In a nutshell" would be why do we offer the contracts we do to players who aren't worth it. It's that that has tied our hands this window. Having Danny Ward and Eduauard putting out the cones at the training ground doing FA for their salaries that could have been used on young vibrant enthusiastic hard working players who contribute to the matchday squad week in week out. Having a tighter than tight budget and then identifying that Oliver Skipp would be a crucial part of our side worthy of the huge chunk of budget spent on him. Having no visible improvement coming from the root and branch investigation into our relegation season. Our current run, with just the brief caveat that was the Spurs game, a team who were uniquely at the point of collapse that weekend, is shocking but with so few alternatives we drive on in the same direction straight towards the cliff edge. "You've wasted all the money" would be my chant perhaps. I say "All" but there has though been some impressive work, the identification and recruitment of Hermandson, Fatawu and El Khanous, all offering good value, regrettably what could have become the core of a vibrant young City side to be proud of will probably be ripped apart before it's even begun. After the root and branch review we handed out other contracts of unnecessary excessive length and cost, they appear to have learned or changed absolutely nothing. The same club that emails me several times a week to ask about my "matchday experience", give me quotes from the players about their latest defeat and how determined they are to do better next time, sell me tat because "Ten Pound" and "Tuesday" start with the same letter....that same club have yet to communicate any disappointment or frustration at their failure to improve the desperate squad in the transfer window, despite knowing our best winger would be out for the season for a few months now. Look me in the eye and discuss why Eduauard was such a sensible choice, where the competition from other clubs was for Skipp and De-cordova-Reid that demanded such contracts to attain their crucial services, talk to me about the important things then maybe I'll look at your third choice training socks. It's not about individual players, emails, results, though it's about the collective direction and the absence of any effort to change direction.

Not so much a saga but Ben Thatcher who eventually joined us in 2003 was very close to signing in 1996, opting to join Wimbledon instead. It was no secret we were in for him and it looked on until Wimbledon came in late but I know for a fact it was as close as you can get. I was on holiday in Portugal, it was the day of England v Scotland ("Taxi for Hendry") and I watched it in a bar with a Sheff Utd player, an ex-Millwall team mate of his who also claimed Thatcher was his best mate. I raised the question of where he'd be going that summer and he pointed at my badge and said, "Your lot, Leicester, he's going to you". Next thing Wimbledon chairman Sam Hamman is making a smug comment about how he'd had options but had made the right choice in joining them and my "Source" rating nosedived!

I remember in a testimonial there were in game interviews with Frank Worthington, he’d go over to the touch line, tell a joke, have a bit of banter then carry on playing, with modern technology we could easily have live in game commentary from the two captains ……I’m joking, hideous idea! I like the idea of mics on refs though. Friday would have been “we’ve allowed the Utd goal to stand as they are clearly the bigger club with bigger potential tv viewer and sponsorship draw”

I had to watch through my camera / phone using the zoom to focus in and work out wtf was going on. Every few minutes I got excited to find a footballer. Reminded me of a scene from Ben Hur with 5000 extras. The bit where the families were penned in like sheep made it look like a holding pen for a race or game indeed!

I predict he’s biased I predict he’s biased Wow, he just needs taking out (put it down uncle Charlie), out of the game, complete refresher on the basics or better still retire. You can’t charge people £65+ to watch and then provide officials like him, this is top level professional sport not Hackney marshes on a Sunday morning. -

It’s absolutely no excuse but I think the “problem” was that usually it’s one player in an offside position, he may have focused on the two furthest forward waiting to see if they become involved in play (I always say they are as they’re affecting the GK’s position). He’s watching those when Maguire comes in from just behind them and he may argue that he can’t have eyes on all 4-5 at the same time. Ditching the “becoming involved” bull rule would stop this happening, he could immediately flag for the lot of them but I would suggest that is what has happened, he’s put all his focus on the 2 furthest forward. Logically did he actually think Maguire had outpaced his marker and got to it first? Harry Usain Bolt in disguise Maguire . Just funny that it’s always rich 6 that get these decisions (or non decisions) go there way. -
That Man Utd offside was hairline, could have gone either way.
