  1. He’d drop the trophy
  2. The summer leading into the relegation season, other than the Fofana / Faes activity which came after the season had started and losing Kasper we signed just Smithies / Smithers / Whassisface a 3rd choice goalkeeper. No Premier League Club has ever done less in a summer window (unless under embargo). With that I greatly sympathise, he often said the players need "help" that season meaning fresh faces, a bit more quality around them, a bit more cover to rotate and rest. BUT - a) We were in the FFP situation we were after his signings had come in, some failing, some unused, some alienated and no-one coming in for them. For a rebuild you need other clubs willing to come in for your players. We had been financing "his way" and run out of FFP wiggle room. I think Tielemans was massive in this, had he attracted £40 millon pound bids in his last 2 seasons he'd have been sold and some of that money made available, he wasn't and our model of moving on a "star" player was broken. I think Maddsons' hip injury prevented clubs coming in then as well. b) The way he reacted in the Brentford game by not using his bench on the hottest of days was an embarrassing tantrum, one we spent £50-£60 each to witness and those 2 dropped points ultimately would have kept us up. P***k. c) I just think he stopped fancying the job, the financial situation wouldn't be great for a while yet even if we stayed up (but still better than it has been), he wouldn't quit and lose his compensation.
  3. But they’re misunderstood, they’re a faaaamily club, a commuuuuuunity club, they’ve chaaanged
  4. Approaching Dyche, Dyche asks to see a list of our defenders “Ha ha ha, I said DEFENDERS” He’d probably like Souttar and Nelson but beyond that, neither available yet but he would surely bring some kind of solidity and discipline. How that helps our scoring record I don’t know though. And we’re no longer allowed to spend “many, many, many pound notes” unfortunately.
  5. When they said Dog Leash spotted at Seagrave I mis-heard and thought Kenny was coming out of retirement to manage us
  6. We already have Donkeys, snakes, rats and pussies (as in cowards) at Seagrave, why not welcome dogs too and have a menagerie
  7. If that’s the CV you’re presenting….
  8. Liaison Person “I’ve been told to walk b***dy Vestergaards dog around the training ground” Groundsman “Who’s gonna take the s**t away” Liaison Person “No-one, he’s here for another 2 1/2 years!”
  9. I heard they had to bring in a second bed and put it end to end with the other as they only have standard length ones, no wonder he looks permanently peeved poor lamb. As the dog is one that he usually takes for a walk it must be very unfit having to walk at such a slow pace all it’s life. Probably some 5 foot tall gangly thing with poor mobility and no sense of direction but persuaded Vasty to take him in for the next 3 years on a ridiculously generous expenditure of luxury dog food and grooming.
  10. Can’t wait for the DVD, if they show Reid’s goal in slow motion from several angles it might last a good minute - two once the credits are added. Form an orderly queue folks.
  11. Trying to recall how many of our home games vs Liverpool have been Saturday 3 O'Clock's in last 25 years or so. This one won't be a game it will be a procession, maybe a little too early for Liverpool to clinch title mathematically but let's not kid ourselves, it's only being shown from that perspective, as part of the title run in.
  12. I just think last night was a result of Potter doing his due diligence and watching us and identifying that he is the sole spark and threat and spent the week drilling his team to counter that threat, like any proper manager would do.
  13. Dju know if he's any good?
  14. If he was in the last chance saloon and under scrutiny and review by his bosses, which he should be by now, they see last night, what do they see that says to them there's anything inspirational, innovating or encouraging there. A performance like that with no change of shape, a token 5 minute try of Daka and just containment again to keep the score down, when you should be under review, surely would be the end. It's like the man had money on 0-2 (I'm joking lawyers), he couldn't have done any less to change the outcome. It cried out for 5 subs at half time, a system change and a roasting, what does he do - give then another 15 minutes. They've had 15 matches and not offered anything, what was another 15 minutes going to do?
  15. He's so gangly and there's so much of him that bits of him play people 3 yards onside even if their feet are ahead of his. Just about every freeze frame of a conceded goal has one of his limbs as out deepest point. Absolute liability, be better off with ten men.
  16. Mads Justin Coady Okoli Coulibaly Kristiansen Ricardo (ASAP) Ndidi Bilal Daka Vardy (60 mins) / Evans (30 Mins) Survival guaranteed!
  17. My initial thoughts were that Wolves have the easier run in, on the final day all of us could be playing teams already on the beach (no Bournemouth pun intended) also Southampton’s 2nd last game v Everton will be apart from perhaps Everton having their last game at Goodson makes it a bit special for them and lastly it’s just not fair - Ipswich & Southampton get to play Leicester whereas we don’t. We might get 2 points (Ipswich & Southampton) and possibly a point at Bournemouth if they’re not needing a result to confirm Champions League or Europa League place. I can see them cementing 5th with Newcastle 4th and Forest 6th by then. if we switched to 3 CB’s with wing backs I could see a point vs Man Utd & Wolves too but we won’t.
  18. Just waiting for the jolly reminder that we get more games at Championship level, lucky us.
  19. “The Club have announced that a slice of Pineapple cake and a bottle of Water will be available for the next home game” ”Which one plays at Right back and which at Centre Back has yet to be decided”
  20. Europe starting to look unlikely now
  21. His “chasing” back vs his opponent reminds me of someone on a Sunday morning having a weekly token light jog to the newsagent to pick up the newspapers waving at neighbours and patting a cat on the head as he passes by all niiiice and relaaaaaxed. Doesn’t remind me of a very well paid professional athlete. Ditto Harry Winks.
  22. Oh must we? Are we obliged to fulfil the fixture list. Oh come on, it’s not funny anymore, we’re not setting up properly, no one wants the ball, defensively we’re clowns, nothing changes, we don’t turn up.
  23. After long deliberation I’ve selected De-Cordova Reid’s goal at Old Trafford as City’s goal of the month for February, a tough choice, congrats Bobby
  24. Oh don’t happy clap that you bunch of seals
