  1. Anyone know when the individual match tickets for the home games will go on sale? Couldn’t afford the three game package due to them wanting it right before payday, so don’t want to miss out!
  2. Perhaps teething problems for first game in a while, although that’s really not an excuse for poor service and hope you get some of your money back! The only time I’ve been in hospitality at King Power was for my 40th birthday back in 2017 when my husband and kids treated me for the game v Man United. My birthday is 23rd December, so the room was all decorated for Christmas. It was very smart. The room was busy but not overly so. The tables were really nicely laid, there were free gifts in each place and drinks were ordered at and brought to our table by waiters. Food was a buffet, but three different stations with a good range of starters, main courses and desserts to choose from. One of the ex-players who work in hospitality came to my table to personally wish me happy birthday and sat to chat to us for a while. Filbert and Father Christmas came round to see the children who were there. We had good seats for the game and I felt the experience was value for money. Sounds like it’s gone downhill since!
  3. Interesting thread. Was in the away end last night and didn’t think there was that much of an issue, except for the terrible on pitch performance! West Ham’s rail seating made the sitting/standing issue easier than usual (to those earlier in the thread - surely it is legal to stand in an area with rail seating?). Lots of people chanting, shouting and swearing like at any other football match. If I found that an issue for my younger teenager I wouldn’t take them, they’ve been going since they were little, they laughed at ‘you can stick your f**king bubbles up your a**e’ etc. but aren’t about to say that to their teacher at school next week! Personally I was entertained by the chanting at the unfortunate opposition fan in the second half who wasn’t exactly innocently minding their own business! There were certainly some drunk/high people which seems common at any match these days, some wearing stone island stuff, not that their clothing choice is especially relevant. Didn’t annoy me particularly, but maybe I wasn’t stood near the worst of them! I do find it interesting that they pay a lot of money for their ticket but seem to have no interest in actually watching the football! One such person in front of me came in on 9 minutes, left again on 36 minutes and never reappeared for the second half. Just seems odd when you’ve paid £30. Fan behaviour at the community shield on the other hand was way worse - my 18 year old son commented it was the worst he’d seen. We saw people falling over hurting themselves, people vomiting in public, throwing food and drink over others, shouting random abuse at other Leicester fans for no particular reason, fighting in the streets, fans of both teams running around covered in blood screaming at mounted police officers - far worse than last night!
  4. I’m also going to park at the shopping centre and as far as I can see it’s not in the congestion charge area!
  5. Apparently he has covid?!
  6. I’ve been this morning, was fun and well organised. The staff will take your photos for you.
  7. Yes this is my issue - I think it’s good pricing but still can’t afford it until I get paid on the last working day of the month, meaning I’ll lose my season ticket seats
  8. My covid pass was checked and my son was stopped and made to show his test result ok his phone. Stewards checking for everyone when we went through by entrance M?
  9. I’m a season ticket holder and want to buy a membership for my daughter. It won’t let me buy one logged in as me and allocating to her with the little pencil (she’s in my friends and family) as it says her age is unknown? So I tried making her a whole new account in her name and entered her date of birth, but it still gives me an error message. What am I doing wrong?
  10. Really enjoyed the game and the celebrations, especially seeing Top with the shield at the end! Does anyone know if the guy who fell on the stairs in block 131/132 is OK? He looked in a bad way and the medics took an age to arrive! Didn’t expect to see people fighting in the street right outside the stadium afterwards!
  11. My ticket and covid pass were checked and when my son tried to walk past just showing his ticket they called him back to say he must show his Covid test result.
  12. Also some of us waiting for payday tomorrow!
  13. I was also very close by and posted in the match thread to see if anyone had an update. Stewards seemed to take an age to respond! Hope he is OK.
  14. A fan near to me on the terrace collapsed and was taken out for first aid - seemed to take an ages to attract the attention of the stewards! Does anyone know how he is at all?
  15. So I’m still stuck on the M1 on my way home!
  16. My son is 18 and got his jab the day after he was allowed to. His second jab is 8 weeks later, which is 17th August. We will be very cross if the charity shield has a double jab policy, as he’s done all he can to have the vaccine as soon as he could! I don’t believe there will be a requirement to be double jabbed until it is possible for all adults to have actually done that, I’ve read rumours suggesting this might be the end of September for large scale events but may well be no truth in these!
  17. I have tickets for me and my son for Burton as we are both season ticket holders, but I’d love to take my daughter as well who isn’t - not hopeful it will make general sale though!
  18. I teach 8-9 year olds. They’re quite well informed about football and talk about current LCFC players especially Vardy. They know we won the title but don’t have personal memories of it. Some in my class would love to attend games and have parents and family members who do but they can’t due to the lack of capacity.
  19. Lots and lots of kids want to go and can’t. I teach in a primary school. It’s not lack of interest at all. It’s because tickets are like gold dust! I have a ST with my son who has just turned 18 (his ticket jumps from £150 - £390, yikes!) but my daughter who is 12 has wanted to join us for ages but can’t get a season ticket. She comes to games as and when I can get hold of a single ticket in my block (K1). And then I have to pay for an adult, as it’s a single seat and can’t be sold to a child even if it’s next to me! The lovely people on my row do move along for her if I can get her a seat on our row and we do the same for the children of other STH’s in the same position. These younger siblings will never accumulate enough points for a season ticket until stadium expansion takes place, as they can only attend when there are tickets available in the same area as their parents.
  20. This would be dramatic...
  21. So happy, amazing goal, amazing save, amazing team 💙 so gutted not to be there as just missed out on tickets but hoping for a lap of honour with the cup next weekend!
  22. I do actually have a life life cut out I was given for my 40th!
  23. Nothing yet!
