Julián Carranza joins on loan - Official
jimsmallman replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wasn't that great in the MLS (watched him a couple of times and he was playing for the best team in the Eastern Conference), even worse in a good team in the Eredivisie. I know he's not exactly getting the service but he's just crap. Agree with what a lot of people are saying - there's no way we actually scouted him in any way, shape or form. We were offered him and took a punt. I hope we can cancel his loan in January and attempt to sign someone with, you know, some talent. -
Norwich (A) - Pre-Match Depression Chat
jimsmallman replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm quite happy that this is a 3pm game so my Saturday won't get ruined until mid to late afternoon. -
The "interview" absolutely won't happen. There is a not a single chance that he will allow himself to be put in any position of weakness with unknown questions etc. At best he may do some nice sounding statements with pre-arranged questions so it LOOKS like an interview.
-
Is the problem the concept of having to live in or at least near to Leicestershire? I know he's allegedly a good footballer but I think he's my least favourite player in an incredibly unlikeable squad. Awful attitude and on ridiculous money.
-
Both those lads contribute towards home-grown player quotas so there's a tax on them. And we sold them before we got as bad as we are now. Faes and Kristiansen are both absolute garbage with dreadful attitudes. Nobody is going to pay us good money for them. Okoli we might get a bit more for but the jury is still out on him,

Norwich drawing and Manning applauding his own fans will keep him in a job. So at least no new manager bounce for us to get ruined by. 1-1 draw then

I love The Specials and I love Ghost Town even more because it’s about that concrete monstrosity of a city.

That shot he had in the second half yesterday made me so unbelievably angry. I've got a mate who supports Sporting. Whenever I mention Abdul his immediate response is "good player, too greedy". I do think he's showing signs of having a good relationship with JJ who exploited the space allowed by two men watching Abdul a couple of times yesterday. Obviously then there's nobody to actually get on the end of anything or the Boro LB going down like he'd been shot by a sniper anytime there was even the slightest physical contact.
-
Thank god for that, I was worried I'd never see its magnificence ever again.

Interestingly when I bought tickets for this game for me and my mate, the two we got were the only two available on the row we chose in SK4. There was nobody sat anywhere near us, to either side or in front / behind which tells me a lot of ST holders decided not to come along. When the Boro equaliser went in there was such an air of inevitability that I didn't even feel angry about it until I got home at 2am. Just numb to it now. Some stuff wasn't as awful as it has been in recent games but we're still utterly crap, aren't we? Can't see it getting better. Top isn't just going to sell because we want him to, and even when he does that process takes forever. Rudkin has stayed in a job for this long and will continue to do so, the tracksuit wearing clown. Who knows if Marti has any ability or not as he's got to try and get the most useless, disinterested, privileged squad playing for a shirt that they couldn't give less of a toss about. I will say this - I was happy to see at least a handful of players look absolutely distraught at the result at the final whistle - especially Okoli. I doubt it will change their mentality at all but if at least a few of them start to actually feel hurt by the results then maybe there's some green shoots of a few lads who actually give a flying ****.

Leicester v Middlesboro - Tuesday 4th November
jimsmallman replied to beepee1984's topic in Leicester City Forum
There's no way that lineup is real. Purely because Nelson is in it. That and we fired the bloke who used to leak the teams. What is this, 2018? -
Everyone is on a delay for pretty much every BBC phone in and interview these days. When I worked there we always had a ten second delay for the most innocuous of stuff. You came across very well though, smashing stuff.

I don’t despise him as a human being as much as I do some on the list, but I’d be annoyed at Skipp if he was a free transfer. The worst £20m plus player in the history of football.

Leicester 0-2 Blackburn POST MATCH THREAD
jimsmallman replied to Muzzy_no7's topic in Leicester City Forum
They won’t fire him yet. Things aren’t anywhere near as awful as they could be. See Rodgers, Brendan; also Van Nistelrooy, Ruud -
Yes, I did watch the game (my other half is a Liverpool supporter). It was a lifetime removed from the sideways passing that we watch every week, and that I watch every time I sit through a Man City or Chelsea game. So I'd class them as more direct than the drudgery that has become the norm recently.

My nine year old son was born in Wrexham and has previously hinted that he may one day decide that they're his team instead of the one that I force upon him. Coady and Ward playing there has done wonders keeping the lad with our lot and not with Wrexham. "Why would they sign two of our worst ever players?" Finally, Coady has done one good thing. (Ward saved some penalties once).

I think the bubble on boring possession based football is about to burst. Bournemouth second in the league, not playing like that. Palace battered Liverpool last night, being direct. Sunderland beat Maresca's lot being direct. The trend is going to be reversed. We'll probably be a million miles behind it, obviously.

All the videos of it seem to have been taken down which is a shame! Would love to see it.

Sacking Marti isn’t going to fix anything. We were absolute garbage last year and we’ve got rid of several players from that squad (including our best ever player) and signed three lads on loan - one who looks good, one who is made of breadsticks and one who probably isn’t any good, primarily because of rules that are designed to keep teams like us down. What’s the bloke meant to do? I’d love to see more exciting kids too but this isn’t football manager. We can’t expect a load of 16, 17 and 18 year olds to pick up wins in one of the most competitive leagues in Europe. There’s a reason none of those u21 teams are winning the Johnstones Paint Trophy or whatever it’s called. The issue remains that we have a squad of disinterested mercenaries who flatter to deceive by playing well every now and again so we’ll forget how little they care (Winks), not a single leader in there (Ricky is captain because he’s a nice lad, nowhere near a leader) and zero team spirit. The dressing room aren’t frightened of Marti, nor would they care even we had Nigel back. They’re all paid a fortune no matter what. Dreadful game? Doesn’t matter. They’re all still millionaires. Mid table might be what the club management expected. They won’t sack Marti yet. Will Still spent a load of money and is allegedly a tactical genius and Southampton are 20th. And I’d be shocked if they sacked him. I certainly don’t think he’s doing a good job right now, but I don’t think anyone is the miracle worker that we need at present. Considering how utterly broken the club and squad is, he could be doing a lot worse.

Surprisingly my first LCFC tattoo, got it yesterday. After years of getting dozens of tattoos, my dad reacted to this with “finally a good one”.

Hull 2-1 LCFC, post-match thread
jimsmallman replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Hamza even misplaced giving his shirt to a fan. We are crap. And it’s not going to get any better until a lot of players are gone. No manager is fixing this. Laughing at Ipswich and Southampton is the only thing stopping me from walking into the ocean. -
Abdul was always going to go down there.
-
OOH NEW FORMATION Winks with the armband tells you how weak we are for leaders.

Good save Jakub.

Can’t make subs, got shoddy nets. Just give us three points by default.
