  1. Yeah I'm double screening this afternoon.
  2. I thought that was quite high praise tbh. Well, unless you're Andy Goode.
  3. I mean, our 11 players are better than their 11 players on paper. We should be doing well. But that's been the case all season but we've been playing like a pub team. This shouldn't be that surprising and hopefully the confidence builds to the point the players know that too. ****ing hope we don't try and sit on a narrow lead in the second half. They aren't good enough to deserve that much respect. Gotta keep pushing.
  4. He's Scottish. Playing at home, he's the love child of Dan Carter and Carlos Spencer trapped in Andy Goode's body. On the road, he's Andy Goode trapped in Andy Goode's body.
  5. Jesus we've missed him
  6. Let's just leave it there then.
  7. Ireland are not ****ing around.
  8. Because having some 15 year old from the academy who can actually run would be an improvement on Ayew up front. I'd like to think it's fairly obvious, not being a psychopath, that I'm not seriously wishing harm on Ayew. But we can't keep playing with 10 men every game hamstringing ourselves because he doesn't actually do anything. Did you watch the Bristol game? It was embarrassing. We were lucky they were crap. He just strolled around the centre circle doing absolutely **** all.
  9. Never in my entire time watching Leicester have I ever wished an injury on one of our own players. But I swear, if Ayew could do his hamstring in the warm up, nothing serious, just enough to sideline him for the next month or two. We might actually stay up.
  10. France win by about hundred points and we get a bonus point win and we can all team up to give England the wooden spoon. Cmon the dream is still alive.
  11. It's more of a meme than a rumour. Anyone believing it is a bit tapped. It's people taking the piss out of the new eligibility laws that started in 2022. You can swap once in your career (but not based on residency, family only) if you haven't represented your previous country for three years.
  12. Yeah. Jordan Ayew.
  13. I tell you what isn't appropriate to be at the World Cup. Donald ****ing Trump.
  14. Have you met a 22 year old recently
  15. Don't do it to yourself. But probably lower mid table. I do think it'd have made a significant difference. We still wouldn't be pushing that high up the table because we just can't defend but his presence would probably have helped keep teams pegged back somewhat which mitigates some of those issues.
  16. Oh to still be young enough to not see 22 year olds as kids.
  17. I don't actually dislike Reid the same way I dislike Ayew. I think he's a bit sub par but he's alright, he's nowhere near the biggest problem in our squad. If we had him at 10 all season I could live with that. But Mukasa is simply better in almost every way and Reid was absolutely hideous against Bristol. Nothing worked for him. His least effective performance for us in ages. Only wasn't the worst player on the pitch because Ayew was there.
  18. Tbf it's not just you the media do it all the time. People equate £ spent with quality. Just because they spent a lot of cash it doesn't mean it was well spent or what the coach wanted. Nobody suffers from this more than Man Utd head coaches who have had gazillions spent "for" them on mostly wank.
  19. Would guess it'll be: Stol Ricky, Okoli, Nelson, Thomas JJ*, Skipp Fatawu, BDCR**, Mavididi Daka * unless he's still having his minutes managed and then it might be Winks after JJ started mid week. ** I'd obviously much rather Mukasa, especially after Bobby had probably his worst performance against Bristol. But I've got this sneaking feeling he's being preferred to Mukasa because Rowett thinks we need his experience more than it's rotation for Mukasa's fitness.
  20. Chelsea don't really back any of their managers. They just sign a bunch of high profile, young attacking midfielders like there's going to be a shortage at some point. It's weird. Maresca specifically wanted A. a smaller squad and B. a better defence and they went "lol OK then" and gave him, well, the above.
  21. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c0lj5n6gl9ro This shit is just absolutely disgusting tbh. At this point to continue to punish the club instead of the owners is disgusting. Football needs a better way of holding billionaires accountable instead of the organisation.
  22. I think it's highly unlikely we'll concede another goal to be honest.
  23. It's the fact he slipped the way he did and reacted the way he did for the third. It looked to me like his legs and brain had just gone. I thought it was the right thing to do to get him out of there. I wish we'd actually normalise early subs and bin off this matcho nonsense that it's some sort of insult if a player gets taken off in the first half or if you sub off a sub. Sometimes something just isn't working and needs changing. Waiting because of arbitrary social norms is daft. I think the media sensationalising what's happened and putting a glaring spotlight on it all will do way more harm to the kid's confidence than the sub itself tbh.
  24. I've spent a significant amount of my time on this forum defending players that get scapegoated for myriad reasons. I've called out excessive criticism of the vast majority of our players at some point or other. I think I've probably earned the right to point out some somewhat excessive (albeit harmless) praise without being BoRdErLiNe PsYcHoTiC tbh.
