  1. Just double check that Ozzie_the_Relaxed's source isn't called Sean_from_Enderby.
  2. If you're asking whether or not he can still run, yes he can. I don't think injuries have ruined his legs, when he's fit he's still actually fit. But he is pretty injury prone, he'll always pick up injuries and he'll have spells out of the team for a month or two most seasons. It's always been like that. He's a technically limited footballer but he's got a decent engine and when he's confident and in good form, he's still a good ball winner. He's at his best playing alongside a more technical midfielder who can take on the responsibilities of actually running the game. With all due respect to the Turkish league, if he stays fit and your manager understands his limitations then he'll be a brilliant signing for you. Overall this is probably one of the most "good for all parties" transfers I can remember in a while. It's about the right fee from your perspective, it's the right level for him to be playing at, we can afford to lose him and the cash is fair for us.
  3. He went on strike at his last club to get a move to the Premier League. If his agent is actively looking to get him a move back Europe's top five clubs, I think you'd have to be extremely naive to think BEK isn't on board. Sacha Tavolieri is like a mini Fabrizio Romano for Belgian players. He's not flawless but he's fairly reliable and like Fab he clearly operates by getting "in" with key agents. He broke all of the news about BEK coming to Leicester and was prolific in updating every two minutes. He started linking BEK to moves away from Leicester shortly after the season ended and it was him that broke the news Bilal has a relegation release clause and that X, Y and Z club considers Bilal an option. Again, I'm sorry, but you'd have to be a bit naive to not put all of this together in to a pattern. It doesn't take a conspiracy theorist. The most important question is whether Bilal is professional enough to put a shift in if he doesn't get a move. He's been one of the first names on the team sheet in pre season and has seemed to work hard in the friendlies, I also thought he was one of the most combative and energetic playing under Ruud. I think he just generally seems to have a better work ethic whilst he's at a club than someone like Fofana did. So I'm sure if something doesn't materialise we'll probably get decent performances out of him this year. But as this month ticks on, we're probably going to get more and more desperate and if we can't sell anyone else, I'll be amazed if we don't lower our asking price for BEK who, let's just be realistic, would jump at the chance to get back to the Prem or go to the Bundesliga.
  4. Probably low. Clearly wants out and his agent seems to be shopping him around. Plus we need the money really, albeit money from Ndidi, JJ and Hermansen would probably cover all our needs without holding us back on the pitch where BEK would be a loss. Does feel a bit like the club managed to just about land his release clause in a good sweet spot, though, where it's reasonable enough for him to not kick off but just slightly out of reach of what most clubs want to pay for him.
  5. Very much this. The EFL would not be amused in the slightest if the club put up political messaging about an ongoing conflict in a league game.
  6. Hamza isn't even really good enough to be playing for the club,
  7. Says a lot about our squad building that none of us can really name anyone we'd be thrilled with. Wouldn't exactly say even Ricardo strikes me as a typical leader, just think he's the only older player we don't hate.
  8. Not only that but they're not just United are they, they're the team that finished three places above the relegation zone last year.
  9. Valencia are an absolute batshit club. Swerve that, Wilf.
  10. tbf you might have that backwards, think Thomas Frank would appreciate the opportunity to train up a young player with potential. After the season Spurs have just had, not sure Levy will fancy taking a risk on BEK. I like Bilal but I imagine Spurs can still attract a better quality of player.
  11. He actually "only" managed 0.56 goals per 90 minutes. Of players to play ~20 or more lots of 90 last year in League One, that would put him 5th behind Louie Barry, Matthew Godden, Jay Stansfield and Alfie May who were more around the 0.7 to 0.6 mark. Barry would have been a ****ing good loan, by the way. Gone to Sheff Utd for the year.
  12. As a Rothley Imps allumni, you can bollocks
  13. @StriderHiryu do you still have a gif of him absolutely sitting down the keeper to score last Championship season?
  14. I assume it's a slightly lost-in-translation way of saying he's just tying up paperwork here.
  15. They'll probably want more proven quality tbh.
  16. I'm fairly confident we'll see a striker and a midfielder of some various quality come in. Kone for ~5 and Brownhill on a free wouldn't be surprising. Or, actually, Kone at all would still surprise me quite frankly as I still think the club are more likely to bottle it and go for "proven experience" and spuff it away on shit like Bamford. But that's my pessimism getting to me.
  17. We paid 15 - 17m for Ndidi but he's been here well beyond the value of his initial contract. His book value is 0. We'll pocket the full value of the sale as "profit" in this years' books.
  18. No chance. We've not even touched the loan market yet and there's players still at the club that are barely going to get a kick and will want to get a loan out if nothing else.
  19. No there'll never be a bidding war and it doesn't make sense that Chelsea paid above the release clause for Kante. A release clause is a release clause, why would that happen? An infinite number of clubs could trigger the release clause, its then up to the player to decide where they go. There can still be a bidding war but not with us, with the player.
  20. For Ibstock U9s
  21. Engagement. Bait.
  22. The fact this exists is absolutely ****ing wild to me.
  23. I doubt we've currently tabled an offer, feel like we're obviously waiting to sell someone first. But lets be clear, WalesOnline are ****ing hilarious. They just openly make shit up. So who knows.
  24. He was probably more sober. Maddison put a shift in, particularly in the final third of the season. You could argue, if anything, he was trying too hard and it got to him. Never understood for a second why people got such a rageboner for him that year.
