I think we're unlikely to see a mass exodus of quality like last time. Will most definitely be selling Mads, probably selling or loaning Soumare again. And some of those high earners who already wanted out will want out again - Faes, Daka. Under the right manager we should HMS Piss the League again.

I dont think Top has lied to Ruud, i imagine any "are there funds to buy players" hopes Ruud had were answered with "yes*" * If we sell players, there's squad places, Glover ticks it off, Rudkin ticks it off, and you want him (so no one really.) With Cannon being sold and Hamza's loan, i still expect an attacking signing still if it ticks the boxes. So he's not walking for transfer inactivity. He'd be taking an enormous risk to walk after the PSV mess. He knew the odds when he joined and realised we're highly likely to be relegated, he accepted the 3 year contract not an interim role. What are we supposed to do just let him sign whatever Dutch or Dutch league amateur like Ten Hag, he's not earned that right and is looking more and more like an over promoted youth coach a bit like Rudkin. That was the risk. He's more likely to be sacked, especially if he's going to shit on the board. Which isn't a bad thing as it's looking more likely we have to prepare for a championship promotion.

We shouldn't really be surprised about BDR. He had good return stats for Fulham. They liked and probably wanted to keep him as squad filler on his previous salary. Suspect our ever so obliging 3 year offer was long term planning (relegated, promoted, final year.) I also suspect he was on a low salary. Glad he's finally coming into it as fans have boo'd him when hes been subbed on previously, perhaps unnecessarily as he's not had real starting opportunities. Hope it continues.
