Carries the ball out well and then we can almost shift to three centre halves with the right back going into central midfield at times to help combat them packing the middle out. Would be surprised to see Ricardo start again given there’s another game on Saturday, along with how many games we’ve got until the turn of the year.

I think it boils down to Thomas being a bit better at helping the full back out.

Quick turnaround as we head to Southampton on Tuesday. Thomas suspended, so the big question is who comes in for him. These have had their best win of the season today. We are starting to show a bit of resilience.

Defended well enough to see that out, which was the most pleasing thing I think. A silly switch off at the start of the second half lets them back into it. Was never worried when they were going forward that they were going to score tbh. We did ok in spells but there’s scope for so much better. Stoke a horrible team. Tried to kick lumps out of us and managed to get away with it for a lot of the game.

But what was the difference of this bed wetter we were supplied with today giving them a free kick every time one of their players was touched? Daka was man handled 3/4 times and nothing was given. He was really really poor. You can tell it’s bad with the ironic cheers. Gave them absolutely everything and couldn’t wait to do so. Only gave us anything which was blatantly obvious.
