Young lad has moved teams to another local team but a bit higher level. Had a very awkward phone call to make with my friend who I was running it with but had to follow what my son wanted. Happy I can just go and watch him train and play now rather than having to get 8 6yr olds to listen at the same and also him not having the pressure burden of his dad being a coach.

Well that was so disappointing. But at 1-0 up the game is never out of the opponents reach. Absolutely dominated but that’s no good when you can only muster up one shot on target. Played some lovely football at times but that counts for nothing. Yet again, every single one of their chances came from us trying to be too intricate or clever. We are yet again, way too easy to play against. Sit in deep, knowing exactly what we are going to do, then try and hit us on the break. We looked a lot sharper with Daka starting and being a bit more direct. I think going in at half time we were so comfortable but then we came out for the second half and the same intensity wasn’t there. Work to be done.

Yeah, you are probably right. Will be interesting who the t20 one is as I doubt it’ll be Handscombe, but surely it’ll be an all rounder.

The annoying thing for me is in recent games they’ve overturned goals because of the player preventing an opposition player from defending etc…. Pope clearly wins the ball but at the same time stops Gyokeres from getting to the ball. Newcastle very lucky Pope got a touch on the ball.

How anyone’s putting the blame solely on Faes is wild. People too quick to blame him because of their feelings towards him. It was crap from both of them. Vestergaard doesn’t do what he does, he doesn’t put Faes in that position where he’s got someone running at him with a decision to make. If you’re going to go that high up the pitch as a centre half you’ve got to win the ball. It’s a fundamental.
