Lol they say this every year and they can't back it up. Whenever a big team plays a little team at home, whenever two big teams play together. Rigged rigged rigged. It's such a sign of low intelligence, don't give them the air and let them walk around frightened of their own shadow.

I've just been watching the first half on delay and skipping through. People criticise the NFL for stoppages and time between plays, but good lord the tediousness of arsenal setting up their free kicks and set pieces. Takes absolutely forever. Was skipping through at 30s intervals and there were so many occasions when they weren't even close to taking anything after 30s.

It wouldn't even be that they won the league. What would be annoying, and this would probably be the same for any club of Forest's size winning the league, is the comparison to our achievement. As brilliant as it would be on the face of it, it doesn't even touch the sides of what we did. Their squad costing around £200m being the main reason. It's bad enough they try and claim the European Cups as miracles when they could spunk a million on Britain's most expensive player. Would be like us claiming our miracle but Kante had cost us £80m.

I'd keep away from Sky Sports News this morning, they're comparing 15/16 us with them this season. Edit: Just in case anyone was curious, no, they didn't compare the squad value with theirs being 10x the size of ours. Funny that.

Nah, it's far easier to scream conspiracy against the PL and EFL. Say the rules are bent and skewed against little old Leicester instead of facing up to the fact we KNEW the rules, have watched multiple clubs comply with them and seen us run ourselves into this sorry state. Maybe take some time to thank our lucky stars we got off on a technicality earlier this season, too.

And every single drain could be clear and clean as a whistle. But it's too easy to ignore rainfall levels that keep on breaking records, it's too easy to just finger point and blame someone, cos that's easier than facing the inconvenient truth. I saw a comment on FB earlier "It's always rained!!!" Yes it has, but not to these levels, not to this consistent, persistent level that means nothing gets a proper respite. I don't know if people are unwilling to adapt or just ignorant. Maybe it's a bit of both.

Think I mentioned it a few months ago but made the trip to Coalville back in August. Insanely jealous at what you have. Pubs close by, the ground in a great location. Compared to where I am in the county I'd love a setup like that. I do have Kirby Muxloe close by, and AFC Hinckley is a short drive away (can't bring myself to pay Barwell's prices tbh), but the whole experience at Coalville I really enjoyed. Hope to go back, or at least do some non-leagues again when the weather warms up.

I'm going to dramatically underestimate the Chiefs. I don't think they'll skate by the seat of their pants like they have in so many games this season (even if that is a sign of a good team). Can see them getting dismantled by someone. Would like the Lions to at least make the Superbowl. Going for a Ravens-Lions Superbowl and the Ravens coms out on top. *(Cut to the day after the Superbowl as the Chiefs beat the Vikings 34-31 in overtime after having been down 10 going into the final quarter)*

Nasty combo of record rainfalls over recent months, snow and then the massive rain last night (certainly in my area anyway). I know it's easy to blame the drains and new homes, but when the ground is completely sodden the water has nowhere to go. The sheer breadth of the issue highlights that it's not just going to just be the drains (though I'm not sitting here saying that drains aren't to blame today, just that it's definitely not the sole cause of what we're seeing today.) Besides, as has been said in the past, even if every drain was clear and clean, the sheer quantity of water in some areas mean they wouldn't be able to cope anyway. Unfortunately Facebook groups will continue to blame everything but climate change, which is a huge driver of this.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Footballwipe replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
We're essentially letting a novice cut his teeth at top level football at a time when the circumstances mean we probably needed an experienced, gritty bastard who'd do anything it takes, and play any way necessary to get the job done for us. Unfortunately many on here, and clearly in our boardroom, spent a lot of time instead being all snooty and snobby about that prospect, instead fawning over a name. 🤷♂️🤷♂️ He might come good, the window might lead to inspired signings and we saunter to survival and god knows I want him to because we desperately, desperately need it. -
Interested in this bit. I do quite like the camaraderie that darts players seem to have with each other, and it must be genuine when you're travelling across the country/world together getting to play a game you enjoy and paid a lot for. But what element (with Littler especially) is genuine bond/looking after a youngster and for the cameras? By that I mean they all know this man is so astronomically popular with both the crowd and Sky Sports it's not in your interest to be pitted as a "villain" against him? Darts followers will know this way better than me so I'm properly interested in what people think.

I thought it was good, too. Stayed close to the original but had a couple of 2024 twists. Also liked keeping the pro involved a lot more than the OG Bullseye did, too. Helped that the Yorkshire brothers were good value. Think Flintoff was a little raw as an autocue reading presenter going solo, but if they give it a proper run he'll be brill and warm into it a lot. He's also done so, so well to recover from that accident. He spoke about it on is cricket camp show about how he didn't want to leave the house for ages etc, and the anxiety he felt/feels. To recover from that is amazing so I'll always have huge respect for him.

What an amazing change of view. Only a few hours ago you said "The average age must be well over 50. Vast majority with faces like smacked arses even before a ball has been kicked. No excitement, no atmosphere and no noise. It was similar to the walk up to a family funeral. In the ground, old folk being helped up the stairs to their seat. This is the problem we have. The age of our fan base is increasing.and no one is gving up their ticket which allow younger folk the chance to attend. Also, these folk will be the first to moan about relocation if safe standing is ever put in behind the goal. Don't mean this to sound ageist as everyone is entitled to attend, however the atmosphere will never be any good with this kind of fan in the kop." So do enlighten us, sweet master of all LCFC supporters. Are old people the problem or is it everyone? Also, bit in bold is a superb lol. What a way to castigate old people and then try and dissociate yourself from your own words. What a weasel.
-
Yeah, you can call for the club to make ticket prices cheaper, accelerate the expansion, do loads more to get younger people into the club. But don't start whacking older people. One day you'll be one, and when people are asking why you're still going, especially if you're not as loud as you used to be, you might realise what a fvcking arse you sound. Also, there are plenty of "younger" people in the stadium, whether it be couple of friends, small groups. Amazingly older people have younger people with them too. They seem quiet as well? Is that because of the old people too? Let's also not forget the inspirational younger fans at away games, who are exceptionally loud in the concourse pre-match, but seem to lose their voice as soon as they see the green of a football pitch. I'm not sure what they offer than being big brave boys downstairs. Maybe it's a multi generational issue. But if you want to get everyone's backs up and play age groups off against one another then go ahead.
-
Because they're not truly random and they have to make allowances for some games to be better suited at times of the year than others. Fixtures are generated based on the predetermined elements they put in. It's beneficial for us to play those teams as they're decent distances for both sets of travelling fans, especially with public transport strangled over Christmas. They'll also avoid massive rivalry games over the festive season, too. We used to play Ipswich quite a lot over Xmas as well.

Is everyone a traitorous, disloyal scumbag today or do the gatekeepers allow leaving early for this performance?
-
Then that's an issue with the system. Struggling clubs being reliant on the top teams for income is precisely why they've managed to gain more and more and more power, making those teams cling onto the scraps they give them. Football needs to be sustainable, teams need to stop spending 200% of their income on wages to chase the £200m dream. I don't understand why we give teams a free pass for being fiscally irresponsible when paying players if they can't sustain it.
-
I really don't get why so many people care about the top clubs taking the money with them if they did go. So what? The finances would settle back to a proportionate level for the clubs that remain. If TV income dropped 75% so what? Wages would adapt for those who are playing in that league. Some seem so obsessed with money they're terrified of losing out on the mega millions when we could actually have a great financial reset if they pissed off.

Ruud awakening for the Premier League!
Footballwipe replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wikipedia says it's Rutgerus Johannes Martinus van Nistelrooij? Is that correct, I know wiki can be unreliable? -
We take it for granted now but I genuinely fear for the future of the £30 away ticket cap. I can see more and more teams wanting away with it so these prices that have ratcheted up will spread to away fans too.

Podcast related - but the new EMR advert that's plastered all over the pods I listen to is so insanely patronising it's unreal. "SMASH A HIGH TEA AT THE SHARD" "SHOP TILL YOU DROP ON OXFORD STREET." I tell you what'd lure me to take a train to London - the guarantee of on time trains and cheap fares. I'd focus on that than generic nonsense. Also on pods but the latest Football Cliches pod was absolute guff. Rubbish MHD fascinations and irritations and the listeners voice notes were even more insufferable than usual. Think I listened to about half of it after skipping.

"Why is the city centre dead and everyone goes to Fosse Park these days???? " Well, notwithstanding the general shift in consumerism, the way people weirdly but gleefully shit on the city centre online probably put so many people off going. Well done for being part of the problem.

I really enjoy this show. It's silly, it's ridiculous in the games but Mulhern is fantastic with the public and, importantly, the public they choose are fun to watch for so many different and unique reasons. Some people bang on about TV shows being shit like we've still only got four channels though. I think the one thing about this is that a lot of the shows people will angrily shout they'll never watch again just aren't for you. I remember when Supermarket Sweep came back. I loved it as a kid in the 90s but about 10 mins in to the Rylan reboot I realised it wasn't aimed at me, my demographic or my tastes. That's alright though, cos it does cater for an audience and if it doesn't, it'll get canned. My main reasons for never watching TV shows again is either over exposure, contrived, complex plots or my natural shift in TV tastes.

"Kick it out, unless one of our players suffers as a consequence of their racist antics."
