  1. Sauce or condiment? I suppose even Tomato Sauce is a condiment really. I digress. Taxi for Soumare. Off and fox now Bouba.
  2. Mustard.
  3. Reason 9999999 to sack Rudkin. How can anyone be so incompetent?
  4. He will earn a lot of money in Saudi to finish off his career. We could play Wrexham if they go up. Imagine if he scored against us which he probably would. I don't have anything against Wrexham.
  5. He's worked wonders at Hartlepool and Stockport. It's a good shout albeit very unlikely. If he keeps on going the way he is then he will end up managing in the Prem eventually.
  6. If he goes, I hope it's to Saudi, and he earns an obscene amount of money to finish off his career after starting relatively late playing in the prem. I couldn't take seeing him play against us in a Wrexham shirt if they get promoted. It's probably time but not to another team we could play.
  7. You have a point about Rochdale. Very few managers would have been able to keep them in League 1. We can't get any worse and if it gets rid of RVN, then why not until the end of the season. If he has a good relationship with a lot of the Man City youth players that he coached before then he could be worth a look. You could probably make a decent young premier league side out of the players that won't quite make it to the Man City first team. We did very well in the past with that model from Man Utd at the time (Drinkwater, James, Simpson, RDL) under Pearson.
  8. They have turned his dream into a nightmare. Shame on them. Laughing and joking whilst we are getting relegated is sickening.
  9. He's doing a great job at Como, but again, their owners have really deep pockets, and convincing signings to go to live in Como is not a hard sell so I'm not sure how much should be read into it. It would be good to see him do well at another club first. As you say it's probably irrelevant anyway as he's unlikely to leave Como in Serie A to move to us in the Championship.
  10. Didn't he get Rochdale relegated in his only professional job? He did very well either the Man City youth side so might have some player contacts.
  11. Poor man's Rodgers, Rohl apparently can't sign players, which sounds just what we need......Fabregas is only in the frame because he's Fabregas. Another RVN appointment. The owners at Como are proper minted, and it's not a hard sell to encourage players to move to Como, so it's hard to read into anyone doing well there. The sad thing is it's totally believable that those are the top 3 choices for Top/Rudkin.
  12. We had a much better side the last time we were relegated. It's inexcusable. Who could possibly have thought we would stay up? We couldn't even stay up with these same players and a younger Vardy plus Barnes, Maddison, Tielemans, Castagne, Evans, Soyuncu, Ihaenacho, Dewsbury-hall, Mendy and Praet. Is Skipp better than Mendy even or Praet? Sanctioning 25m on Skipp should be a sackable offense by itself. BEK is clearly talented but how can a 20 year old in his first season be expected to create or score many goals? We need to go back to basics and sign players that are going to bring value to the club regardless of whoever the manager is. Managers come and go. A good manager will get a tune out of good players. We need a proper DOF. Letting Rodgers who is a decent coach but shocking at signing players near the chequebook was naive at best (the guy who thought Joe Allen or Jonjo Shelvey could replace Xabi Alonso) then signing Dad's army with Cooper who gets sacked for doing exactly what we all knew he would do is stupid. Nobody else is stupid enough to pay the players we want to get rid of what we do so we are stuck with players with no resale value on mega wages living it up at a 5 star holiday camp who unsurprisingly are in no rush to leave. Top is laughing and joking whilst everyone around him is taking him for an utter fool and laughing all the way to the bank.
  13. True. Crazy.
  14. The problem we have had for years now is that you can only get rid of players that other teams want and who will pay at least the same if not more than we do which is no-one else.
  15. Hopefully the stats wake Top up.
  16. Carlisle have a huge fan base for that level and very wealthy owners. They shouldn't even have been at the bottom. Anyone could have improved them. Holloway has done a fantastic job at Swindon in League two.... If we were genuinely looking at a manager who up until this weekend was managing the lowest placed club in the football league then we might as well give up now. RVN was a disaster, this wouldn't be much better. The sad thing is he could probably be on our shortlist.
  17. Currently managing Carlisle after being sacked by Bradford with them in 18th of league two despite being the biggest team in the league by far. Things are bad but they aren't that bad. This feels like Mike Bassett England manager levels of desperation....
  18. Tete was our first Brazilian. It's understandable you would forget him though.
  19. The disloyal bit seems a bit harsh. Which manager wouldn't have left for Chelsea, especially after what happened with Sensi in the Jan window? We were absolutely flying before that and the board dropped the ball again. It almost cost us promotion. He wasn't happy that he wasn't backed and felt he had been mislead. I'm sure he would have signed much better players than Skipp, Ayew, DCR and Edouard and would have probably kept us up. There are some valid criticisms about the style of play and results in the 2nd half of the season but the way the board acted in Jan should be taken into account.
  20. I'm not. Rudkin would have been involved with the contract. If that were the case you would think there would be a clause that a manager could be sacked without compensation after 10 losses in a row if we knew what we were doing contractually.
  21. Exactly. Granted, it's a low bar at the moment, but he has been one of our best players, and he's still only 22. I can't understand why he is being singled out.
  22. That's another 25m that relegation will cost us as he's worth double that. I get that we have PSR limitations but surely getting relegated is going to leave us in a much worse state than getting a couple of players in during the last window. That 25m on Skipp and the other money wasted on wages in the summer is really sickening but par for the course for a very long time.
  23. The last time we went down we had enough quality to probably finish top half so it was different. I don't think this time you can actually blame the players, they haven't downed tools, the effort is there, we just don't have enough quality and that puts the blame right at the top as they have overseen this whole mess. It hasn't happened overnight. Our recruitment has been poor since Puel left and even between Pearson and Puel really. That's a long time to sign players who aren't good enough. We went down last time with Tielemans, Barnes, Maddison a younger Vardy etc. Who possibly thought that we would do better with the replacements we have? It makes no sense. The defence has been a mess for years now and we haven't sorted it out. We've conceded 59 goals with a good GK playing for a lot of the games. How could anyone think we would score enough with a front three of BCR, Ayew an aging Vardy? BEK is incredibly talented but he's young and inexperienced. He's not going to score 10 goals in the prem is he, in his first season. The players don't sign themselves or give out contracts this is all on the board.
  24. Giving big Sam a call might not be the worst idea. We need someone experienced to come in and sort the club out and cut out all of the nonsense. We also need someone to sort out our recruitment. The last thing we need is an ex player like Gerrard who only gets a job because they were decent players. RVN is in way over his head as it is. We need someone who knows what they are doing as the club seems clueless at the moment from top to bottom. I thought we should have gone for Moyes instead of Cooper for similar reasons but we missed that boat. He could at least get it running like a football club again whilst we plan for a younger replacement when he retires again.
  25. If that's true then that is exactly why we are in this mess. Apart from Hermansen, the other 10 players are worse than the 10 outfield players to a man that got relegated last time. Even the ones that are the same are older, like Vardy and Ndidi. Rodgers was also a way better tactician than both Cooper and RVN, he's just absolutely atrocious at signing players. If they really thought that this squad had mid table potential, then they are completely delusional. Look at the 11 that got relegated. Every single one of them that has left would be a huge upgrade on whoever is playing there now apart from Ward.
