Think Vardy, Albrighton (and may I add Ndidi to that list,) have handled coming to the end of their contracts the way it should be 100% little in the public domain.....like I say we offered, he wanted more, we didn't want to give it, he left, that's business/football/life..... Be interesting to get his take on it now......

General attitude, on and off the pitch, demands for a long contract on his terms, and was no longer the player he undoubtedly was….in short we would have been paying more effectively for less…never a good relationship…..

None of our top three strikers have performed at a level that is required, they all have on occasion, but never consistently. That said their finishing is far better than most other teams…..and should be good enough…..

Last season there was much debate/ criticism over contract lengths/ salary levels. Tielemans, Vesty, Ward, Castagne, Evans, Soyuncu to name but a few, even Vards and Wilf copped it, So we have a couple of potentially fantastic young wingers….Abdul, 19, fantastic work rate marvellous attitude, and Mavididi, equally as good for different reasons….in time they will run down existing deals, leaving the club with exactly the same decisions to make, either extend, pay more or both….obviously you can replace but that takes time, and based on Tete,Under et Al, is hard to get right….so what should our policy be going forward
