  1. Dependent on what he costs obviously, in this case probably too much….
  2. My internet speed needs upping.....miles behind....
  3. Are we getting ahead of ourselves here or have they all gone?
  4. If Barnes is £50m (Newcastle) got to be £70+...
  5. Tielemans will go at somepoint, be it this month or next year......Gallagher and Dewsbury Hall would be a long term partnership......a quality one too.....
  6. He must be thinking Champions league are the only clubs he would join.....seems happy and committed here.....Whilst Newcastle are the new kids on the block, they currently aren't as good as we are.....
  7. Not sure we would get £65m, but I can see this has legs.......
  8. We have bought,Kante,Drinkwater, Mahrez, Maguire, and developed Chilwell, all sold for circa £260m…so now Tielemans, Maddison,Fofana and add Barnes £200m plus….this is what we do…..don’t understand the majority of people om here….and it will be the club that sanction any sales, not Brendan or anyone else….
  9. We have known we were in the final for five days….how many tickets haven’t we sold in those 5 days……mine for two…..
  10. Three things….Seville played Arsenal yesterday…..so who knows what team they will put out, oh and Our Ladies national side kick off in a major final at exactly the same time, and it’s July, half the country are on holiday….might have something to do with it….
  11. I don’t think I have ever been more aware that the football club has to do what is necessary before buying players, the squad is too big, we have been a little unlucky (Praet and Soumare could have gone) but they haven’t and it’s clear Vesty, Bertrand and Hamza are surplus to requirements. The wage bill is too high, financial fair play might be a consideration, but it’s clear we won’t be buying without selling first….the owners have driven that…quite rightly. Lookman did ok, a better signing than O’Neill at £20m imo, but there will be a reason why we didn’t sign him Kasper might go, Wes might go, but we have still too many players….only the owners truly know what is possible, and talk of running out of money are confounded by stadium extensions and new training facilities. After all that, I have a feeling keeping the same squad of players will be fine….and they should feel they owe the club and want to prove a point, provided of course we don’t suffer the same injury problems as last year. Even Fofana for Colwill, Gallagher and £40m could work, and ultimately see Youri leave…not saying I would want it, but there are a lot worse transfer scenario’s All the conjecture, uncertainty is created on here and by the press, and this is the one time our owners know exactly what needs to be done….and that includes any new signings….or not….and I for one respect and trust them…. We have signed the wrong players, we won’t sign anymore until that is put right….and it’s hard to argue with that.
  12. Doesn’t seem too long ago, seemed most people posting on here wanted him gone, can’t kick, crap with crosses, don’t mention corners….now it seems he is an irreplaceable legend that disaster looms without him….odd place this Foxestalk….oh and he would have left next May anyway…..the biggest detrimental aspect him leaving will have I’d the belief in the dressing room….he is certainly a leader….and as a club we don’t have that many….
  13. Ward was (I think) £12m….and a Welsh international, and in the few games he has played has been outstanding when picked. At the same time Iversen is ready to be understudy….can’t see us replacing Kasper, it’s a wage off the bill, and that’s how it is…Kasper has been outstanding for the club, and obviously it will be a blow to lose him, but if not this season it would be next….
  14. Not just a Premier league footballer, but an international who has played in the Euro semi's.....
  15. Sure it’s been said, but am I the only one who thinks if everyone stays fit we will be fine, and further to that so many players give huge optimism when they sign only go on to disappoint. Soumare,Ghezzal,Mendy,Praet, Silva,Slimani, Under, spring to mind. Vardy, Justin, N’didi, Fofana, Maddison Evans and Ricardo fit, we will galvanise and be fine…
  16. We ain’t got £20 million to buy him….
  17. De laat, Drinkwater, James, Izzett, Lennon, Savage, Vardy, to name but 7, all stellar signings all let go…..
  18. Brilliant day, 4 winners, 3 losers, saw Top, glorious weather, great gesture by the club, and judging by the crowds it will be repeated…..
  19. As always good points well made….and 100% you could pick half a dozen games this season that would/should take us back into Europe….Spurs, Everton away, Newcastle, Brighton away, Villa away….there is no doubt we should have been top six particularly with United way off the mark, I do think less games with the size of our squad will benefit us (It has affected West Ham) and even tomorrow Southampton played on Tuesday, we played Thursday….got to be harder with shorter turnaround…think this post is leaning the way of it’s not been great,we have had some good moments,, but there have been reasons beyond control for some justification to finishing 8th. I have renewed for next season….Brendan has earned a crack at it….review due mid October….
  20. Next season we won’t be in Europe and playing every Thursday. We won’t play 50 + odd games Logic says we won’t get as many injuries, as a result of fewer games We will reshape the team. The league will be more difficult.Usual “big” six, West Ham will be amongst it,Newcastle will push on,Villa will sign players. Wolves are rumoured to be changing their manager. In short there are ten/eleven clubs pushing for European places next season I am optimistic about next season, but the notion Europe is a given or even a total failure if we don’t make Europe next season, is way off the mark.
  21. We had one shot on target in last years Cup Final…..just sayin’
  22. That’s the spirit! Come on!
  23. Going to football is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get…win, lose or draw….completely get the cost of going to a game makes a hole in peoples pockets, but that’s for individuals to decide and not the responsibility of the club….we don’t pay more when we beat Liverpool from memory….
  24. LCFC has absolutely nothing to do with the cost of living crisis…..I have read it all on here now….Brendan in the dressing room, “Lads the price of fuel electric and beer has gone up recently, can you all lift your game…and get the fans to forget what’s going on….“
