I am shocked that so many people are keen to get rid of him. With Skipp and Soumare the options in midfield, Choudhary is the only physical players we can put on to strengthen the midfield. He is not PL quality, but we are not in the PL at the moment and based on the last couple of games we could be here for a while.

Just checked the stats on Vardy and KDH in our last Championship season. Vardy scored 18, KDH scored 12 and assisted 14. Not sure where those missing goals are coming from this season. Starting to worry, please tell me everything will be ok.

I was thinking something similar a couple of days ago. Our first choice for the 3 behind the striker is Mavididi, El Khanouss and Fatawu, which is probably the best group of player in those positions in the league. Our second choice is probably Monga, Alves and McAteer and I believe half the clubs in the Championship would be over the moon for those 3 players to be in their starting line up.

If you mean Coulibaly then I agree, if you mean Aluko then I definitely don't!

Aluko played more in pre-season than Coulibaly. I suspect he is seen as cover.

No, the fact he moved his hand toward the ball suggests he was concerned about giving away a chance soon after coming on. He looked a little nervous in a couple of other challenges in the first few minutes, but as I said he grew into the game. I still think he will be our best CB with a run of games.

Didn't realise Jayden Joseph was 19. If he is not having a serious involvement in the first team he should definitely go on loan.

Hopefully the manager and players are focused on winning this game, not on feeling sorry for Wednesday fans or complaining about how badly things are run. If we go into this game without that focus we could easily lose. Those Wednesday players who remain could use their problems to develop a siege mentality and decide to really scrap for every point.

Is there really that much potential? Two 'big' clubs in a small city with other 'big' clubs nearby and no real global following.

I think, unless Fatawu plays most of the Fiorentina match, that McAteer will start on the right. Based on pre-season and the fact that Mav missed the last friendlies I think Monga starts on the left. That is purely at the moment and I am not suggesting this would continue beyond the first game.

Decent cover as 2nd/3rd choice depending on Hermansen

I think Kristiansen is going or we would have seen more of him in pre-season, his 'injury' is suspicious. I think Ricardo will run down his contract, but I would offer Thomas and JJ an extension on sensible terms. We could usee this season to find out if Aluko and, possibly, Jayden Joseph can step up, if not then we look for better for next season.

This is the key part. If Aluko understudies Ricardo, with James on the left, then he is going to get plenty of games. I think Coulibaly is finished with LCFC, or never started!

I think this is one of the problems with Cifuentes joining late in pre-season. He has been able to see all of the players in their current positions, but has not been able to test them in other, e.g. as you say, Bilal at 8. I would also have liked to see McAteer at 8, others have said McAteer at 9, and what about Monga at 10 and Evans at 9?
